中文有很多模糊的數字表達
比如"30多吧"，"好幾萬"
那這些模糊的數字
英語怎麼說呢？
"30多" 別用 more than
more是多
但 more than thirty 會讓人誤會！
它其實在說
不止30（也可能是40,60,80）
正解是
thirty something
something表示不明確的"幾"
類似的表達還有
fourty something percent
百分之四十幾吧
one hundred something people
一百來號人吧
數字上的中英差異還很多
比如，英文裡沒有"萬"這個單位
"萬" 怎麼表達？
1萬
= 10千
= ten thousand
3萬 =30 千
= thirty thousand
【注意】：thousand 不要加 s
那麼問題來了
"好幾萬塊錢"怎麼說？
好幾百的 = hundreds of
好幾百塊 = hundreds of yuan
類似的
好幾萬= tens of thousands of
好幾萬塊 = tens of thousands of yuan
【注意】：ten 和 thousand 都要加 s
說到數字，必然談到錢
"美元"，"美分"你知道
可"美毛"聽過嗎？
"美毛" 怎麼說？
美元的貨幣單位裡沒有"毛"
老外會這麼表達
比如
¥ 14.25
十四塊二毛五分
$ 14.25
fourteen dollars and twenty-five cents
看出來了嗎？
1毛=10分
“毛”的位置
老外用"幾十分"取而代之
