get off 除了“下車，離開”，還可以有“開始，開端，著手”意思
get off to a good start 成功地開始, 取得良好的開端
get off on the right foot一開頭就很順利
get off on the wrong foot一開頭就很不順利
rocky 基本意思是“多岩石的；堅如磐石的，堅硬的”，這裡形容（局勢、關係）不穩定的，不穩固的，困難重重
They had gone through some rocky times together when Ann was first married.
當安剛結婚時，他們已經一起度過了一些艱難時光。
get off to a rocky start 一般可翻譯為“不穩固的，艱難的開始”。而在此劇中，結合當時語境和雙方身份罪犯與警察的關係，故意譯為"我們之間開始有信任危機"

在這裡go south跟“去南方"沒有一毛錢關係，而是典型的美國習語指“情況變得越來越糟糕，每況愈下，變壞，
數量，質量或價值等下降”，雜誌標題經常go south/head south形容。
關於這種表達有兩個說法 -- 第一說美國南北戰爭時，北部聯邦勝利，南部邦聯戰敗。所以南部代表失敗；第二種說法是根據地圖“上北下南”的規定，比喻“下南”為下降的趨勢，走勢。

我們開始學的compromise是指“妥協，和解，折中”，它另外還有“連累，危及，危害，損害，使陷入危險”意思。

If a company has a bad performance, the CEO may take the fall.
如果公司業績差，CEO要承擔責任。
