一.語態概述
英語的語態是通過動詞的形式表現出來的，用來表明主語與謂語動詞之間的關係。英語有兩種語態：主動語態和被動語態。
主動語態表示主語是動作的執行者。
Many people speak English.
許多人講英語。
(謂語speak是由主語many people來執行的)
被動語態表示主語是動作的承受者。
English is spoken by many people.
英語被許多人講。
(主語English不是動詞speak的執行者，而是它的承受者)
二.被動語態
1.被動語態的構成
被動語態由“助動詞be+過去分詞”構成。人稱、數和時態的變化是通過be表現出來的。
肯定句：主語+be+過去分詞+(by...)
否定句：主語+be not+過去分詞+(by...)
一般疑問句：Be+主語+過去分詞+(by...)?
特殊問句：疑問詞+be+過去分詞+(by...)?
2.被動語態的八種時態
①一般現在時：am(is,are)+過去分詞
Football is played all over the world.
足球運動遍及世界。
English isn't spoken by people here.
這裡的人不說英語。
②一般過去時：was(were)+過去分詞
These new books were published last month.
這些新書是上個月出版的。
Were these computers made in the USA?
這些電腦是美國製造的嗎？
③一般將來時：will be+過去分詞
Prof. Wang will be asked to attend the lecture.
That film will be directed by Zhang Yimou.
那部電影將由張藝謀執導。
④現在進行時：am(is,are)+being+過去分詞
A new free way from Beijing to Shanghai is being built now.
一條從北京到上海的新的高速公路正在建設中。
I'm slowly being driven mad by the noise of passing plane.
我正在慢慢地被過往飛機的噪音逼得發瘋。
⑤過去進行時：was(were)+being+過去分詞
The wounded was being operated by Prof. Wang this time yesterday.
昨天這時候，那傷員正由王教授做手術。
The car wasn't being repaired by me then.
那時這輛車不是由我修的。
⑥現在完成時：have(has)+been+過去分詞
The graduates in the university have been sent to work all over the country.
這所大學的畢業生已被派往全國各地工作。
Has the bridge in Beijing been built?
揚州的那座大橋建成了嗎？
⑦過去完成時：had+been+過去分詞
The bridge had been built by the end of 1998.
那座橋1998年年底前就建好了。
The table had not been cleaned when I got there last time.
上次我到那兒時，桌子還沒被打掃。
⑧過去將來時：would+be+過去分詞
She told me that a new English teacher would be sent to our class in a week.
她曾告訴我一週以後要給我們班派一位新的英語老師來。
They asked the mayor what would be done to control the water pollution.
他們問市長將採取什麼措施控制水汙染。
3.由情態動詞構成的被動語態
這種被動語態的結構是：情態動詞+be+過去分詞
That car can't be repaired.
那輛車修不好了。
All these exercises must be finished before school is over.
所有這些習題必須在放學以前完成。
Trees should be planted in spring.
應該在春天種樹。
