我们学的 level 是名词形式“水平，层次”，这里作为动词，level with someone 指“（对某人）说实话；直言相告”, 等同于be honest with / tell the truth
I'll level with you. I'm no great detective. I've no training or anything.
实话告诉你吧，我根本不是什么大侦探。我没有受过任何训练。
注意如果说，be level with someone, 则表示“和…一样高”

之前学过短语 rip somebody off 表示“宰客，坑骗”，复习
这里 rip-off 是名词形式的“偷窃，骗取”，动词 rip off
Kids were ripping off trays of rolls.
孩子们正在偷窃一盘盘的面包卷。
4.Thanks for the pep talk.
谢谢你给我打气
pep, 本意是“活力，精力，劲头”，pep talk 则是“打气，鼓舞士气，动员的话”
The coach give the team a pep talk before the big game.
大赛之前，教练向队员讲话，给他们打气。
The sales manager gave the salesmen a rousing pep talk before the sale.
减价开始之前，业务经理向销售员讲话，激励士气。

keep it together 本意是"保持完整"，口语当中常指“淡定，别慌张，别紧张，放轻松”相当于Relax / keep calm
