[考点辨析] borrow,lend与keep

(1)borrow 意为“借，借用”，指从别人那里借来东西。表示“向某人或某处借某物”时用borrow sth. from sb./sp.或borrow sb.'s sth.

Do you often borrow books from the library?

你经常从图书馆借书吗？

Can I borrow your pen?

我可以借用一下你的钢笔吗？

(2)lend 意为“借给，借出”，指把东西借给别人。指“把某物借给某人”时用lend sb.sth. 或者lend sth to sb.

Can you lend me your pencil?

把你的铅笔借给我好吗？

You mustn't lend it to others.

你一定不要把它借给别人。

（3）keep 意为“保存；保持”时，是延续性动词。可用于完成时态。而borrow和lend是短暂性动词，不能用于完成时态或与表示时间段的状语连用。

How long can I keep the book?

这本书我能借多久？
