一、從屬連詞(★★☆)
引導狀語從句的從屬連詞有:
(1)連接時間狀語從句的從屬連詞有:since, until, after, before, when, while, as, as soon as, whenever, ever since等。(2011年考)
如:His father came back home while he was watching TV.他在看電視的時候,他爸爸回家了。
(2)連接讓步狀語從句的從屬連詞有:although, though, even if, however等。(2017年考)
如:The old man plays sports every morning, although he is over 70 years old.
雖然那個老人70多歲了,但他每天早晨都鍛鍊身體。
(3)連接原因狀語從句的從屬連詞有:as, because, since, now that等。(2016年考)
如:Let’s go to a movie,since we are free now.既然現在我們有時間,那去看電影吧。
(4)連接目的狀語從句的從屬連詞有:that, so that, in order that等。(2019年考)如:
Mr.Black ran fast in order that he could catch the train.布萊克先生為了趕火車而快跑。
(5)連接條件狀語從句的從屬連詞有:if, unless, once, in case等。(2014年考)
如:Her father won’t buy her a present unless she gets good grades.
除非她取得好成績,不然她爸爸不會給她買禮物的。
(6)連接結果狀語從句的從屬連詞有:so…that…, such…that…等。如:
This movie was so boring that we were sleepy.這場電影如此無聊,以至於我們都困了。
二、狀語從句的時態(主將從現類)(★★★)
用法:if(如果), as soon as(一……就……), until(直到……才……), when(當……時), before(在……之前), after(在……之後), unless(除非), even if(即使)等詞連接時間、條件或讓步狀語從句時,主句用將來時(有時候是祈使句),從句用一般現在時表將來。(2012、2014~2017年考)
如:We won’t go out(主句)if it is rainy tomorrow(從句).如果明天下雨,我們將不會外出。
As soon as I arrive in Beijing(從句), I will give you a call(主句).我一到北京,就會給你電話。
She won’t go to bed until her mother comes back.直到她媽媽回來,她才會去睡覺。
I won’t write to you before you write to me.在你寫信給我前,我不會寫信給你的。
I will leave the company unless it offers me more money.除非公司給我加工資,否則我就離開。
