說到“提供”，你會很快想到provide、offer。那它們有什麼區別呢？

provide和offer都有“提供，供給”之意，但用法不同：
Provide
v. 提供; 供應; 給予; 規定;
provide常用於provide sb with sth 或provide sth for sb 結構中。
例句：
This hotel provided us with a large room.
這家賓館給我們提供了一個大房間。
The school provides free lunch for poor children.
學校給貧困的孩子們提供免費的午餐。
Offer
v. 主動提出; 自願給予; 提供(東西或機會); 供應; 奉獻，祭獻(給上帝);
n. 主動提議; 建議; 出價; 報價; (通常為短期的) 減價，削價; 處理價; 特價;
offer常用於offer sb sth 或offer sth to sb 結構中。
例句：
We offered him a lift, but he didn’t accept.
我們建議他搭我們的車，但他沒有接受。
The company offered the job to her.
公司把這項工作交給了她。
另外，offer還有“主動提出”之意，常用於offer to do sth 結構中，意為“(主動)提出做某事”。
例句：
She offered to help me to learn English.
她提出要幫我學英語。
