1. few 的意思是“很少的…，幾乎沒有的…”，表示“雖然有，但很少”，強調“少” ，用於複數名詞前或指代可數名詞，表示否定的意思。
There are few people in the room.
房間裡沒有幾個人。(雖有但少)
The girl bought few things ,because she didn’t have money .
這個女孩幾乎沒有買什麼東西，因為她沒有錢。
2、a few 的意思是“少數的…，幾個…，一些…”，表示“雖然少，但還有”，強調“有”，修飾可數名詞，常放在複數名詞前，表肯定含義，用以表示不大的數目。也用以指代可數名詞。
There are a few people in the room.
房間有幾個人。(雖少但有)
She has a few friends Chendu ,so she wants to go there for vacation .
她在成都有幾個朋友，所以她想去那度假。
3、quite a few “相當多，不少”用以指代可數名詞或修飾複數名詞。
Most of the teachers are young in our school ,and quite a few are beautiful women.
在我們學校大多數老師是年輕人，並且相當多的是美女教師。
We've installed quite a few sports floors over the years!
多年來我們已經安裝了不少運動地板！
