Why the long face?
an informal expression to ask why someone looks sad or upset.
（非正式）询问某人为何失落或难过的表达方式。
long face就像我们中文中常说的：拉着个脸，拉长脸，板着脸...总之都是脸色不大好看的形容方式。英语口语中人们就会用Why the long face?来问你是不是最近有什么烦心事儿。
例句:
1) You've just got a new job a new man – you should be happy! Why the long face?
你刚找到新工作和新男友，你应该开心呀!为啥又不高兴了呢?
2)A: Why the long face?
怎么了拉着个臭脸?
B: It's difficult to explain.
很难解释
A: Don't think too much.Maybe tomorrow will be different.
别想太多，也许明天你的想法又不一样了。
