排在百佳詩歌榜第三位的詩是Death Is Nothing At All。這首詩也是一首經常在葬禮上誦讀的關於死亡的詩，歷史更久遠，對後世的影響也更大。詩的作者亨利·司各特-荷蘭，是倫敦聖保羅大教堂的牧師同時也是牛津大學的神學教授。起初這首所謂的詩並不是詩，而是作者作為牧師在國王愛德華七世逝世後為其佈道的時候宣講過的內容，佈道的題目是Death the King of Terrors。 “Death Is Nothing At All”是其中的一部分，主要內容是關於死亡的自然而又似乎矛盾的反應的探討， 即人們對於不明所以感到恐懼卻又相信生命恆常輪迴不絕。

從翻譯的視角看，除了注意保持原詩的意義和意象之外，主要應該盡力與原詩在詩句的形式上保持一致，如語言的平白，句子的長短變化等。但從漢語的韻腳來看，似乎保持一節或幾節的一致押韻更好些。
