特殊疑問詞分為兩類，疑問代詞5個：What, Which, Who, Whose, Whom，疑問副詞4個：When, Where, Why, How。
一、Who/Whom/Whose之特殊疑問句
註解：who意為“誰”，詢問人（做主語）；whom意為“誰”，詢問人（作賓語）；whose意為“誰的”，詢問物體的所屬。
◆ Who are you? 你是誰？I am Mary. 我是瑪麗。
◆ Whom are you talking about? 你們在談論誰？Jim and his brothers. 吉姆和他的哥哥們。
◆ Whose bike is this? 這輛自行車是誰的？It’s mine. 它是我的。
二、Which之特殊疑問句
註解：which意為“哪一，哪一個”，問一定範圍內特指的人或物。
◆ Which box is yours? 哪個盒子是你的？The blue one. 藍色的那個。
◆ Which book do you like best? 你最喜歡哪本書？The Little Prince.《小王子》。
◆ Which country do you come from? 你來自哪個國家？China. 中國。
三、When之特殊疑問句
註解：when意為“什麼時候/何時”，詢問時間。
◆ When do you come back? 你什麼時候回來？Maybe tomorrow 也許明天。
◆ When is your birthday? 你什麼時候生日？May 13 is my birthday. 五月十三號是我的生日。
◆ When do you get up every day? 你每天什麼時候起床？At 7:00 a.m. 早上七點。
四、Where之特殊疑問句
註解：where意為“哪裡，在哪裡”，詢問地點。
◆ Where will you spend the summer holiday? 你會去哪裡過暑假？I'm going to Hawaii. 我將要去夏威夷。
◆ Where is your coat? 你的外套在哪啊？It’s on the sofa. 在沙發上。
五、Why之特殊疑問句
註解：why意為“為什麼”，詢問原因，回答從句一般由because引導。
◆ Why isn’t he at school today? 他今天為什麼不在學校？Because he is ill. 因為他生病了。
◆ Why are you so busy? 你為什麼總是這麼忙？Because I have to make money. 因為我得掙錢。
六、How之特殊疑問句
註解：how意為“怎麼，怎麼樣”，詢問健康狀況、程度以及做事的方式等，可以和形容詞一起用構成具有具體含義的特殊疑問句。
1、問候方式
◆ How do you do? 你好嗎？(初次見面用語)
◆ How are you? 你好嗎？(熟人間問候語)
◆ How is your father? 你父親好嗎？(詢問他人情況)
2、詢問看法
How do you like the maths teacher? 你覺得數學老師怎麼樣？He is so warm-hearted. 他很熱心。
3、詢問感覺
How do you feel? = How is your feeling? 你感覺如何？I feel happy. 我覺得很開心。
4、詢問年齡
How old are you? 你多大了？I'm ten. 我十歲。
5、詢問方式
◆ How do your sister go to school? 你姐姐是怎麼去上學的？She usually go to school by bike. 她通常騎自行車去上學。
◆ How can I get to the cinema? 我怎麼去電影院？You can get there by bus. 你可以坐公交車去。
6、詢問意見
How about going out for a walk? 出去走走怎麼樣？That sounds good! 聽起來不錯。
注：How about句型有時也可切換為What about，區別在於How about後面通常跟動詞現在分詞，What about後面通常跟名詞。如：
What about another cake? 再來一塊蛋糕怎麼樣？No, thanks. 不用了，謝謝。
7、詢問多少
◆ How many books are there in the library? 圖書館裡多少本書？There are thousands of books. 有成千上萬的書。
◆ How much money do you have? 你有多少錢？Only 5 dollars. 只有五美元。
8、詢問價格
◆ How much are the apples? 這些蘋果多少錢？Nine dollars. 九美元。
◆ How much is the car? 這輛車多少錢？About $20, 000. 大約兩萬美元。
9、詢問距離
◆ How far is it from here to your school? 從這兒到你學校有多遠？It's about ten minutes' walk. 大約十分鐘步行的路程。
◆ How far is it from here to the zoo? 從這兒到公園有多遠？It is only a five-minute ride. 只要五分鐘路程。
10、詢問長度
◆ How long is it? 它有多長？I really don’t know. 我真地不知道。
◆ How long is the river? 這條河有多長？About 500 km. 大約500千米。
11、詢問次數
◆ How many times did he call you yesterday? Twice. 他昨天給你打了幾次電話？兩次。
◆ How many times do you read English everyday? 你每天讀多少次英語？Once or twice. 一次或兩次。
12、詢問頻率（多久一次）
◆ How often do you have a sports class? 你每多久上一次體育課？Twice a week. 一週一次。
◆ How often do you visit your mother? 你多久看你母親一次？Once a month. 每月一次。
13、詢問時長（多久或多快）
A. 對for＋時間段提問，表示多久，疑問詞一般用How long。
◆ How long will you stay there? 你將在那兒呆多久？About two weeks. 大約兩個星期。
◆ How long does it take to get to London from here? 從這裡到倫敦要多久？At least ten hours. 至少要10個小時。
B. 對in＋時間段提問，表示多快，疑問詞一般用How soon。
◆ How soon will you come back? 你過多久回來？In an hour. 1小時以後。
◆ How soon shall we know the results? 我們多久能知道結果？I don’t know. 我不知道。
