自民國元年始，廣東造幣廠所鑄毫幣，逐漸流佈全國，而長江以南各省商場，貿易恃為輔幣，在金融界具有舉足輕重的地位，從民國7 年至10 年（1918～1921） 1918 年歐戰結束，經濟蕭條，百廢待興。廣東幣廠旋即恢復鑄造，所鑄錢幣成色版本各有不同。所鑄錢幣為二毫銀幣，最為精美，但沒有大批量發行流通，以至於現如今更加難得一見，市場價值也逐年攀升。
