一、狀語從句的分類
1、時間狀語從句：通常由before，when，while，until這四個連詞引導，難度不大。
2、地點狀語從句：通常由where引導，也可由wherever，anywhere，和everywhere引導，難度比較低，故不詳細介紹。
3、原因狀語從句：難度中等，常用because，for，as， since，其中because考察評率最高，其次考研試題中經常出現in that複合連詞表原因，尤其是在閱讀理解的題幹中，考查原因細節題一般都用in that。
4、目的狀語從句：難度中，常用連詞有so that，in order that，和that，從句中常含有情態動詞。其他引導詞有lest，for fear that，in case，譯為“以防，以免”從句謂語要用虛擬語氣should+do，一般省略should。
5、結果狀語從句：難度中，常用連詞有so…that, such….that。so後接形容詞或副詞，分詞，such後接名詞。這裡要注意so或者such至於句首要倒裝。當然還有其他一些引導詞to the extent that, to the degree that。
6、條件狀語從句：難度高，常用連詞有if ，unless，其中 only if和if only是考察重點，還有一些諸如as long as，provided，so long as，suppose that等可以引導條件從句。
7、讓步狀語從句：難度高，常用連詞有although，even though，though，even if，while，no matter +w/h, as但也有很多介詞和副詞表示讓步的意思，如：despite是最常見的一個，還有though做副詞的用法，however，nevertheless這些副詞在考題中比較常見。其中也要注意as引導讓步狀語從句要倒裝。
8、比較狀語從句：難度高，由as，than， the more…the more，just as，no more than，not…so much as…等連詞引導。
9、方式狀語從句：難度中，as，like，as if，as though，the way等引導，難度低，所以不詳解。
二、狀語從句在考研試題中的考察
【考研試題例句】On the other, it links these concepts to everyday realities in a manner which is parallel to the links journalists forge on a daily basis as they cover and comment on the news.
【結構分析】本句主句it links these concepts to everyday realities…，介詞短語in a manner 作方式狀語，後面which引導的定語從句修飾manner。關係代詞which在從句中作主語。在此從句中，又包含as引導的方式狀語從句as they cover and comment on the news。
【參考譯文】另一方面，這一學科把這些概念結合到日常生活中，這與新聞記者每天報道和評論新聞時的做法是相同的。
【考研試題例句】 A variety of activities should be organized so that participants can remain active as long as they want.
【結構分析】A variety of activities should be organized為主語，participants can remain active as long as they want 為狀語從句；so that 為狀語從句的引導詞。
【參考譯文】應該舉辦各種各樣的活動，這樣以來參與者可以長時間的保持活躍。
狀語從句並不算特別難的句型，但考生們一定要警惕狀語從句與其他句型的夾雜出現。
