看起來不止我一個人想起來，二十年前的6月6日，《慾望都市》在HBO開播。昨天我剛給編輯交了一篇關於《慾望都市》包包的稿子，意猶未盡，感到有些話不適合在嚴肅的文章裡說，或許可以在這裡隨便聊聊。
我是被《慾望都市》直接影響的那一代人。每星期一集看了六年，而不是一口氣看完一季的那種。片頭輕快詼諧的爵士樂，不管什麼時候聽到，都會把我一下拉回到世紀交替的那段時光，帶著濃濃的青春的味道。不敢替別人說話，但我的愛情觀和時尚品味是在追看《慾望都市》的過程中逐漸成熟的，似乎之後就沒什麼太大的長進了。
有些朋友可能會納悶，在中年的深處，當一個女人妥妥地掉進事業和家庭的羅網，被養育孩子和照顧親人的百種責任焦慮，她還有心思顧及愛情和時尚嗎？答案是有的。愛情是生命的動力，即使沒有機會親身經歷，但生活中的詩和遠方總會被給予遐想的空間。八十八歲的好萊塢影星，世紀美人Tippi Hedren 不久前表示，“我期待下一個讓我迅速迷上的男人。” 至於時尚，那是生命中美的動力，比愛情還重要。
讓我們來溫習一下在《慾望都市》裡學到的愛情和時尚功課吧。

或許我們最多能做到的是，好好打手上的牌，好好給自己的一身衣服添配飾。

以前單身的意思是沒人要。現在單身的意思是你很性感，然後不慌不忙地決定怎麼過你的生活，跟誰過。

我以為二十歲的女孩只是好看而已，直到我看到她和那個曾經讓我心碎的男人在一起。

男人在戀愛中的大膽舉動被認為是浪漫，而女人的大膽舉動卻被認為是不顧一切或者神經病。

“I feel the same way about being a bridesmaid as you feel about Botox. Painful and unnecessary." - Samantha
我對伴娘的感覺正像你對肉毒素感覺，痛苦而沒有意義。
“I’m a 34-year-old woman with braces and I’m on a liquid diet. Pain doesn’t begin to cover it.” – Miranda
我是個三十四歲的女人，戴牙套，吃液體減肥餐，痛苦不足以概括我的感覺。
"In a courtroom, reasonable doubt can get you off for murder. In an engagement, it makes you feel like a bad person" - Miranda
在法庭上，合理的懷疑能讓你在謀殺案中免罪。可是在訂婚關係中，它讓你覺得自己是個壞人。

一個女人的垃圾是另一個女人的珍寶。

購物是我的有氧運動。
“When I first moved to New York and I was totally broke, sometimes I bought Vogue instead of dinner. I found it fed me more.” - Carrie
我剛來紐約的時候一無所有，有時我不買晚餐而買一本Vogue，我發現Vogue更能餵飽自己。
"I could understand a word she was saying, but I felt I had in my possession all the Italian I'd ever need to know, Dolce, Dolce, Dolce” - Carrie
她說的什麼我一個字也聽不懂，但是我感覺自己只需知道一個意大利詞：Dolce, Dolce, Dolce。
“Every year the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future. This is known as Fashion Week.” - Carrie
每年這個時候紐約女人遺忘過去迎接未來，這是時裝週。
“I'd like a cheeseburger, large fries, and a cosmopolitan.” – Carrie
