除此之外，acquire還有“徵購，收購，買進”的意思，多為商業用語，

acquire和get, gain, attain, obtain
這組詞的共同意思是“取得; 獲得”。其區別是：
1）對象
get的對象則比較廣泛,即既可以是具體的東西,也可以是抽象的事物；
acquire和attain 的對象多為知識、技能等;
attain 常用於莊重場合；
obtain的對象多為期望已久的東西;
gain的對象多為經驗、利益、優勢、好處等;
2）努力程度
get是這組同義詞中的最常用詞,可指主動爭取,也可指被動接受,有時不一定需要很大努力就能獲得;
acquire指持續不懈，慢慢地獲得, 強調過程;
gain都強調經過艱苦，巨大的努力而獲得的結果, 比obtain所付出的努力還要大些，往往指通過競爭所得；
obtain多指通過長期努力而獲得,有時也指無須經過努力，強調結果；
attain 正式用語,指經過艱苦努力才使人達到完美境地。
3）示例
He did not get what he had earned. 他未獲得他應得到的東西。
i got a letter from you. 我收到你的信。
You must work hard to acquire good knowledge of English. 你要用功以便精通英語。
We should try to acquire good habits. 我們應該努力養成良好的習慣。

3. Capture Somebody
抓捕某人（多指罪犯）
take prisoner, take control of sth by force from an enemy 捕獲，指憑武力、謀略或計劃而在經過較量取得勝利或克服較大的障礙、困難或反抗之後而“捕獲”“捉住”或“奪得”“獲得”。
The police have not captured the thief yet. 警方尚未將小偷抓獲。
Our army captured 500 of the enemy. 我軍俘虜了五百個敵人。
另外，capture也可以用於比喻，表示“迷住”“使感興趣”, 指到了愛不釋手、近於發狂的程度，

4. Pull yourself together

重新振作起來(恢復鎮定，控制自己)。在人傷心沮喪的時候，容易全身無力地坐下來或躺下來，所以當振作起來時就要把你整個人“拉”pull起來，並令它重新“協調”（together還有“協調”的意思）通常在
