雅思口語“教育類”話題如何臨場發揮?一招教你發散思維!

雅思考試除了在國際教育中對語言基礎的有通用性考核外,對學生們來說,考試內容常常需要我們成為一個有“內涵”的人,也提問和答案也往往體現“以人為本”的主體思想;而口語在正常考試中,更多也在考察對生活,社會等層次的思考高度。

俗語有云:“萬般皆下品,惟有讀書高”,同學們有時候會想,接受同樣的教育,為何有人躊躇滿志,有人卻妄自菲薄?我們且不討論複雜的人類和社會關係學,但無可否認的是。

教育,對於我們的重要性不可言喻,因此我們今天就來利用一些口語情景講解“教育”這種大類型題材在口語中的應用。

在口語以及寫作中,“教育”可謂是體現在各個層面中,例如part3常考討論題:

  • Do you think the government should subsidise all university students?
  • How do you think to balance the education opportunity between the rich and poor?
  • Do you agree that young children should be accepted different kinds of education?

在part2的話題裡面也常有和教育有關的題型,如本季熱門話題之:

Describe something useful you learnt from math class during primary or secondary school

或者同學們可以思考下,上一次我們講到的:

Describe a good law in your country You should say:

  • What is it
  • Who it protects
  • How you know it
  • And explain why it is good

試想下我們把“中國教育大法”放到這個題中去論述,既顯得大氣上檔次,又符合主流社會意識形態,考官也喜歡聽(外國友人最愛聽屬於中國的各種新鮮事物,包括我們的教育體系),因此我們試以“九年義務教育”作為切入,則“9 years compulsory education”這個內容就可以很好闡述“教育的作用”。

因此結合題目,在論述過程中,我們通過“教育”的切入點所引申的內容就非常之廣泛了,大方面例如:

Educational Equality,Educational Quality, Educational System

我們以equality為例,詞夥以及細節擴展可以如下:

the equal access to education, 教育公平

free access to knowledge,免費獲取知識

Exam-oriented education應試教育

Quality-oriented education(素質教育)

free education 免費教育

cost of learning 學習成本

from less well-off backgrounds/families 來自貧窮家庭

exempted from tuition fees 免除學費

break the cycle of poverty 擺脫貧窮

a well-educated workforce 受過良好教育的隊伍

close the economic divide 減少貧富差距

因此,在論述why is it good的過程中,實際上我們就是講究這種教育法給學生,家庭,社會帶來的好處,若能從這三分方面簡要說明下,一步一步往上升華觀點,聽起來即使是一套有所準備的物料,也顯得很端正,如:


I firmly believe it is a rewarding(有回報的,這個詞可以代替good等通俗的表示“好”的詞彙) law for the children who have the access to education in their certain age;with the help of it ,they can obtain free knowledge with equal access, which means free tuition fee for the children who are under grade 1 to grade 9, it’s therefore definitely good news for those who come from less well-off backgrounds. (注意在表達專業的詞彙或術語的時候,要適當通過進一步解釋來讓別人理解,在此段過程中,顯然對方對“9 years compulsory education”的概念是很模擬的,因此通過深入的解釋可以讓效果更加提煉);

It is also good for families as that would relieve their financial burdens(減少家庭經濟負擔) thus parents can save cost of learning and use money for improving their living standard, or cultivating other interests of their children(提升觀點層次,從家庭層面陳述,會顯得說話邏輯更合理).

細心的同學們認真思考下,國家頒佈的法律僅僅是對個人有好處嗎?反過來想,社會會因此得到什麼樣的回報呢?我們細細思考一下如下講法有無擴展證據:


As for society and country, it is also a beneficial project as it can not only close the economic divide by sharing the same education opportunities to children and families but cultivate the potential and promising talents.

最後,我們在講述的過程中,切記要運用相關的Supporting來幫助擴展,牢記切勿掉入泛泛而談,羅列觀點的陷阱中。本次通過了介紹“教育”這類型材料在不同題目或者討論中的應用和重要性,但要注意,材料的使用靈活,學會舉一反三,貼合題目。
