The Devoted Mother

今天的故事，
可以讓孩子們理解父母的偉大，
珍惜別人付出。

All of a sudden the mother duck saw a fox at a distance.
She was frightened and shouted,
“Children, hurry to the lake. There's a fox!”
突然，鴨媽媽發現在不遠處有一隻狐狸。
鴨媽媽嚇得大叫道：
“孩子們，快點去湖裡。那邊有一隻狐狸！”
The ducklings hurried towards the lake.
The mother duck wondered what to do.
She began to walk back
and forth dragging one wing on the ground.
小鴨子門迅速朝著湖裡跑去。
鴨媽媽想出了辦法。
她裝作受傷，
在地上拖著一隻翅膀開始往回走。
When the fox saw her he became happy.
He said to himself,
“It seems that she's hurt and can't fly!
I can easily catch and eat her!”
Then he ran towards her.
當狐狸看到鴨媽媽時，
他心裡暗自竊喜
“她好像受傷了飛不起來！
我可以輕易的抓到她並且吃掉！”
然後狐狸便開始朝著鴨媽媽的方向跑去。
The mother duck ran, leading the fox away from the lake.
The fox followed her.
鴨媽媽邊跑邊把狐狸引開湖邊，
狐狸一直跟著鴨媽媽。
Now he wouldn't be able to harm her ducklings.
現在狐狸已經離小鴨子很遠了不會去傷害他們了。
The mother duck looked towards her ducklings
and saw that they had reached the lake.
She was relieved,
so she stopped and took a deep breath.
鴨媽媽朝小鴨子那邊看，
她發現小鴨子們已經到湖裡了。
鴨媽媽終於鬆了一口氣，
她停下了腳步並且深呼吸。
The fox thought she was tired and he came closer,
but the mother duck quickly spread her wings
and rose up in the air.
狐狸覺得鴨媽媽一定是累了，
他開始一步一步地接近鴨媽媽。
但就在這時，鴨媽媽開始快速的扇動翅膀，
飛向天空。
She landed in the middle of the lake
and her ducklings swam to her.
鴨媽媽停在了湖的中間，
小鴨子們遊了過來。
The fox stared in disbelief at the mother duck and her ducklings.
He could not reach them
because they were in the middle of the lake.
狐狸凝視著鴨媽媽和小鴨子們，
他現在再也不能傷害到鴨媽媽和小鴨子們了，
因為他們現在在湖的中間。
