once 表示一倍
twice 表示兩倍
兩倍以上用基數詞加 times 表示
幾種常見的表示倍數的句型
(1)…幾倍（或分數）+ the size ( length，amount...) + of...
The earth is forty-nine times the size of the moon.
地球是月球的49倍。
(2)…倍數（或分數）+形容詞（副詞）比較級+ than...
His house is three times bigger than mine.
他的房子比我的房子大兩倍。
The book is four times thicker than that one.
這本書比那本書厚3倍。
(3)…倍數（或分數）+ as+形容詞+ as...
This factory is four times as big as that one.
這個工廠是那個工廠的4倍大。
Asia is four times as large as Europe.
亞洲的大小是歐洲的4倍。
(4)…times that of...，此句型多用於糧食產量、生產指標等方面的比較
In this area the grain output is five times that of before liberation，
這個地區的糧食產量是解放前的5倍。
(5)…倍數+ what引導的從句
He eats twice what I eat.
他的食量是我的兩倍。
