在學習英文的時候，大家有沒有被這六個詞所迷惑過？他們是：neither, either, both, any, all, none。
其實，每個詞都有一個自己的性格，這六個詞也不例外哦。下面就讓知識君給大家透析一下！
1. either和both是六胞胎中非常相像的一對。both表示兩者都，either表示兩者中任意一個。大家看下面的兩個句子：
I would like to have both coffee and soda to kick-start my day. They are both stimulating (增強活力的) drinks.
I would like to have either coffee or soda to kick-start my day. Either is stimulating.
第一段的前半段說，咖啡和蘇打兼要。而第二段的前半段裡，咖啡和蘇打不可兼得，只能取一個。
大家要注意的是，兩個段子的後半段意思基本一致，都是說這兩種飲料都可以增強活力。只不過，兩段採取了不同的表達方式而已。
所以，either和both有異也有同。性格上來說，both 比 either更 generous (慷慨)，而either 更 selective (挑剔) 一些。
2. neither 表示兩者都不。和剛剛介紹的兩個代詞姐妹相比，neither 的性格像一個 icy queen (冰冷女王)。大家可以參考下面的句子：
Both coffee and soda can lift my spirits, but I want neither of them for my breakfast.
咖啡和蘇打都可以提起我的精神，BUT 我誰都不要。
3. 理解了前面的三胞胎，剩下的三個就容易多了。
all 和 both 意義相近，但是 all 包含三者以上，而 both 只有兩者。
none 和 neither 意義相近，但是 none 包含三者以上，而 neither 只有兩者。
大家可以類推一下 any 和 either 的區別嗎？
沒錯，any 是 三者(或以上)中任何一個，而 either 只有兩者。
例如：The old lady has six daughters, and she loves any one of them. (老太太有六個女兒，她愛她們中的任何一個人。)
