Up on a hill that was very tall, a little boy made a big snowball.

He gave that snowball one hard throw.

Off it went and then-oh,no!

The snow was falling.

The wind was blowing.

It went past boys and girls on sleds.

It went over everybody's heads.

It stopped the cars.

It stopped the trucks.

It scared the feathers off some ducks.

It cased away a dog and a cat.

It knocked off many people's hats.

But still the snowball did not stop.

And while Miss Jones was on the phone, it dropped into an ice-cream cone.

Just then, the boy came in, of course.

He was as hungry as a horse.
