中國綠卡，傳說中的史詩級難度！
最近，有個美國漢子倍兒開心。
因為，一直想當中國人的他，終於拿到了傳說中難度極高的中國“綠卡”！
這枚漢子名叫布倫特(Brent W)，美國人。8年前從弗羅裡達州來到中國。
來到中國後，布倫特很快在東莞遇到了一箇中國姑娘，兩人第二年就結婚了~

這位美國漢子在一家香港網絡公司工作。而上個月，他終於拿到了自己夢寐以求的東西——外國人永久居留證件，也就是俗稱的中國綠卡！

Last month, Brent W achieved an important milestone:he obtained the vaunted “green card”that is emblematic of his status as a permanent resident and his right to live and work permanently in China.
上個月，布倫特•W實現了一個重要的里程碑：他拿到了引以為傲的中國“綠卡”，這象徵著他作為中國永久居民和在中國永久生活和工作的身份。
It also put him on track towards achievinghisultimate goal: becoming a Chinese citizen.
這也讓他步入實現終極目標的軌道：成為一名中國公民。

一枚夢想成為中國人的美國人？
沒錯，布倫特甚至表示：如果真的可以成為中國居民，放棄美國籍也無所謂噠！
Brent W said he would have no problem renouncing his American citizenship if he could obtain Chinese citizenship.
“I don’t hate America or dislike America,”he said.“I just found I love China and Chinese people a lot more."“我並不憎恨或討厭美國，我只是更愛中國和中國人。”
“If giving up one’s American nationality can automatically allow the person to get Chinese nationality, I would have become a Chinese citizen years ago.”“如果放棄美國國籍就能自動獲得中國國籍的話，我早在很多年前就當中國人了~”

至於為什麼喜歡中國？布倫特表示，不僅因為自己太太是中國人，更主要的，中國人真的特別好呀~
Brent W said he loved working and living in Dongguan, an industrial hub.
布倫特說，他熱愛在東莞的工作和生活。
He embraces the opportunity to meet people from across the country and to try cuisine from a variety of local restaurants. “I am exceptionally fond of Hunan foodand I actually love super spicy things,” he said.
他喜歡與全國各地的人們接觸，並品嚐當地餐館中的各種美食。他說：“我特別喜歡湖南菜，事實上我很喜歡超級辣的食物。”
Although he speaks little Mandarin, he has managed to make many Chinese friends.Every year, he joins locals in training for and competing in the annual Dragon Boat Festival racesthat mark the summer solstice and usher in a new season of health and well-being.
雖然他不怎麼會說中文，但他設法交到了很多中國朋友。每年，他都會和當地人一起參加端午節的龍舟比賽。
“Overall, although Americans are generally nice people,I found Chinese people, in general, tend to have a higher level of kindness,” he said.
他說：“總體來說，雖然美國人一般來說都很好，
但我發現中國人更加善良。”“A few times I was lost, but somebody was there – even despite a terrible language communication problem – at least trying to help me get the right direction.”
“我有幾次迷了路，但總有人——儘管語言溝通方面有些困難——至少試圖幫我找到正確的方向。”

面對媒體，布倫特也直言，“成為中國公民”是自己一直以來的夢想。 而如今拿到了綠卡，也算是朝這個夢想邁出了一大步啦！
而接下來，已經擁有綠卡的他會嘗試申請中國居民身份，還打算和妻子一起周遊中國，幫助一些貧困山區的兒童~
“My goal is to become a Chinese citizen”,the 54-year-old said. “Local police officers told me that to be a Chinese citizen, I needed to get the green card first.”
With the green card now in hand, Brent W said he was set to apply for Chinese citizenship next year. He alsoplans with his wife to continue sponsoring poor Chinese children and travelling across China.

順便八卦一下：布倫特的妻子在和他結婚之前離異過，並且有個女兒。
現在女兒和她及布倫特組成新的家庭一起生活，現在在讀高中，去年去了美國交流學習。
倆夫婦問女兒：那你想去美國讀大學不？
女兒：才不呢！美國的東西難吃死了！
(“My daughter went to an exchange programme at a high school in the US last year,” Brent W said. “When we asked her if she wanted to study at an American university,she said no. She said she hated American food.”)
原來……中國綠卡這麼難拿？！
布倫特拿到中國綠卡這麼開心，不是沒有原因的。
要知道，中國綠卡是世界範圍內公認的難申請，所謂的“史詩級難度”，就是它沒錯了！
要知道，在2004年至2013年的十年間 ，中國一共才對老外發了7300多張綠卡。
至於有多少人申請，網上有個流傳很廣的說法是60萬。雖然這一數據沒法核實，但用“史詩級難度”來形容中國綠卡，一點也沒有誇張。
下面這個數據可是實打實的：
想獲得一張中國“綠卡”，堪比“蜀道之難”。從1990年到2015年，在中國居住的外籍人口從37萬人增至97萬人，年均增長2.4%，其中只有不到1萬人有中國“綠卡”。
