Text of Story:
Willy and Amos are men. Willy and Amos are delivery men. Willy and Amos deliver new refrigerators to people’s houses. Every day they deliver many refrigerators to customers. Willy and Amos love being delivery men but sometimes they run into problems.
Before going to the first delivery of the day, they called Cindy, the first customer on the list. The delivery men said ‘Good Morning Cindy! We have your new refrigerator ready for delivery. We will be there soon.’ Cindy said, ‘Ok. You can deliver my refrigerator now. See you soon.’
Willy and Amos arrived at Cindy’s house 20 minutes later to deliver her new refrigerator. Willy went to the door. He rang the doorbell. No one came to the door. Willy knocked on the door and no one came to the door.
The delivery men called Cindy again on the phone. ‘Hello,’ they said after she answered ‘We are at your house now with your new refrigerator.’ The customer said ‘What? I am not expecting a delivery today. I am not ready for a delivery. You must be confused. Please come tomorrow’. Willy and Amos could not believe their ears. Cindy, the customer had just told them to come do the delivery and now she said she was not ready. Willy and Amos run into problems like this every day.
Willy and Amos drive to the next customer’s house to deliver their refrigerator. This customer was home and they were able to do the delivery. As they were leaving, the delivery men’s phone started to ring. It was Cindy, the first customer calling. ‘Hello! Delivery Guys’ they answered. ‘Where are you? You are late! I have been waiting for you for a long time.’ said Cindy, the customer. Now Willy and Amos were really confused. ‘Please deliver my new refrigerator right now! I am waiting.’
Amos and Willy drove back to Cindy’s house as fast as they could. They quickly unloaded her new refrigerator from the truck and brought it to the door. This time when the knocked on the door Cindy answered. Willy and Amos picked the refrigerator up…. But they ran into another problem. Cindy’s new refrigerator was so big that it did not fit through her doors of her house! It was too big.
