英语“使用能力”训练：Sleep on it
我们多年学习英语的最大问题，是不会也不能用英语“读”英语，而是只会用中文“读”，甚至是不管三七二十一直接就“读”成英语。
用中文“读”是不会促进你的英语能力，尤其是英语“使用能力”的，因为你根本没有“使用”到英语。它只说明你“用”中文的意思“理解”了那句英语在说什么。
“使用英语能力”和“用中文理解英语什么意思”显然是两个不同概念。
但是，多数人还是会把这二者混为一谈。
“读”英语体现或训练的就是你英语“使用能力”的过程，英语阅读就是反复训练这个语言能力，直至熟练运用。
有个“英语教学”视频是要求你的“见到英语说出中文”(Put English into Chinese)的，而不是“见英语说出英语”(Put English into English)的英语“使用能力”训练：你用中文是“懂”了，可是你的英语能力没有一点改变和使用。
1. sleep on it. 让我再好好想想
2. get back to you. 稍后再答复你
翻译：抱歉，我得好好想想，可以下周答复你吗？
本篇英语“使用能力”难度系数：★★★☆☆
英语“使用能力”训练包括两个步骤：
1. 用Yahoo查英英字典的英语释义
2. “使用”英语表达所读到的英语释义(相对于用中文去读英语释义)。
1) Yahoo sleep on it define(用Yahoo查英英字典的英语释义)
Idiom：sleep on it, sleep on (something)
1. To postpone a decision until the following day so that one has additional time to consider it.
2. To postpone a decision until one has slept through the night.
3. Not make a decision until the following day so that you can have more time to think about it.
4. To think about something overnight before deciding.
这些英语足够让你无需借助中文就可以知道sleep on it是什么意思(用英语理解)。
做不到？那么你学的英语是用来干什么的呢？
2) “使用”英语能力训练：Put English into English能说出下面的英语吗？
1. Okay.Got it. To sleep on it or something is an English idiom
2. If we say we sleep on it, or sleep on something,we mean：
2a. We postpone/put off/delay a decision, we won't make a decision until the following day.
2b. We sleep on it ,or sleep on something so that we will have additional time,or more time to consider it,to think about it.
我们能如此主动“使用”英语已经是很好的英语口语。
当然，能说出下面的例句更好，不过，这是另外一种“英语口语”了：
1. Why don't you sleep on the offer and let us know your decision in the morning?
2. I'm still not sure if I'm ready to spend that much money. Can I sleep on it?
我们把这类英语口语称为今后“照搬使用”型英语口语，体现不出一个人的主动使用英语情况和能力。
