“千百年來”詞組為for thousands of years，其也是for+一段時間，是現在完成時的時間標誌。而且千百年來，父姓一直傳承下去，並且會繼續傳下去，應該用現在完成時，表示過去發生的動作持續到現在，並可能還要繼續下去。
“傳承“的詞組用pass down。
“世代相傳“是指從一代傳到下一代，代代相傳。”從…到…“用from… to…，所以”世代相傳“為from generation to generation。
我本想著可以用and連接兩個並列句子，那麼用and連接的兩個謂語時態也得一致。
但是前半部分句子的時態用一般現在時，後半部分的句子時態得用現在完成時，不能用and連接，所以要把這一個句子拆分成兩個句子。
