故事：錢金玉捨生取義 QIAN JINYU SACRIFICING LIFE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
錢金玉做松江縣的千總官，性情剛毅果敢，崇尚廉潔的氣節。
Qian Jinyu is a thousand chief officials of Songjiang County. He is resolute, resolute and advocates integrity.
道光壬寅年間(1842年)鴉片戰爭爆發。錢金玉正在休假回鄉探親，聽到消息，立即收拾行裝動身。
The Opium War broke out in 1842. Qian Jinyu is returning home from vacation to visit his relatives. Hearing the news, he immediately packed up and set off.
他的親友阻止他說：“戰事正緊急，是禍是福不可知曉，您正在休假，上級官員又沒有文件催促您前去，為什麼急急忙忙地回去呢?”
His relatives and friends stopped him and said, "the war is urgent, whether it is a disaster or a blessing. You are on vacation, and the superior officials have no documents to urge you to go. Why go back in a hurry?"
錢金玉不聽，回到吳淞口後，就跟從軍隊守衛西炮臺，和士兵一起吃飯睡覺，一起行動，他們用努力作戰的話相互勉勵。
Qian Jinyu didn't listen. When he returned to Wusongkou, he followed the army to guard the West Fort, ate and slept with the soldiers, and acted together. They encouraged each other with their hard work.
到了東炮臺陷落後，槍彈炮彈全都落到西炮臺。錢金玉奮勇指揮戰鬥，浴血奮戰幾個小時，左臂中了三彈，卻毫不後退。
When the East Fort fell, all the bullets and shells fell to the West Fort. Qian Jinyu bravely commanded the battle and fought for several hours. He was shot three times in his left arm, but he did not retreat.
他身邊的士兵哭著說：“您有老母親在，不能死。”錢金玉笑著辭謝說：“哪裡有享受國家俸祿卻在國家有難時逃避的道理呢?希望你不要為我母親擔心。”不久，一顆槍彈飛來，擊中了左胸，他於是倒下了。
"You can't die with an old mother," cried the soldier beside him Qian Jinyu said with a smile, "where can I enjoy the national salary but escape when the country is in trouble? I hope you don't worry about my mother." Soon, a bullet came and hit him in the left chest, and he fell.
在臨死的時候，他還大喊“賣國賊害了國家”不停。
