controversial a.爭論的，有爭議的：
a highly controversial plan一項極有爭議的計劃。
convenience n.方便，便利，合宜：
Many women prefer the convenience of working at home while their children are small.
孩子還小的時候很多婦女更願意在家裡工作，因為這樣比較方便。
convenient a.方便的，適合的；容易到達的：
Our house is convenient for [to] the station. 我們家離車站很近便。
Will six o’clock be convenient for you? 六點鐘你方便嗎?
【注意】其實際意思是“使人感到方便的”，而不是“(自己)感覺到方便的”，如可說Railway is convenient(鐵路方便)，但不說I’ll come if you are convenient。
可改為I’ll come if it is convenient for [to] you. 你若方便，我就來。
conversation n.[C,U]談話，交談：
I’m tired of your conversation. 你的講話我聽膩了。
in conversation with (在)和…談話
convince v.使確信（信服）：
Her arguments didn’t convince me.他的論點不能說服我。
cook v.烹調，煮，燒 n. [C]廚師，炊事員：
Who will cook the dinner? 誰來做飯?
【注意】不要將cook(廚師)與cooker(炊具)混淆。
cooker n.廚灶；爐具。
cookie n.小甜餅；甜餅乾：
Karen had a glass of milk and a cookie.卡倫喝了杯牛奶，吃了一個小甜餅。
