《老友记》笔记2

Chandler:Alright,so I’m back in high school,I’m standing in the middle of the cafeteria.and I realize I am totally naked.

All:Oh,yeah.Had that dream.

Chandler:The I look down,and I realize there’s a phone,there.

Joey:Instead of......?

Chandler:That’s right.

All:Never had that dream.No.

Chandler:All of a sudden,the phone starts to ring.I don’t konw what do I do?Everyone starts looking at me.

Monica:They weren’t looking at you before?

Chandler:Finally,I figure I’d better answer it,and it turns out It’s my mother,which is very-very weird because she never calls me!


Chandler:于是我我回到了高中学校,站在食堂中间,发现自己全身赤裸。

All:噢,做过这种梦。

Chandler:然后我低下头,看见那里有一部大哥大。

Joey:那话变成了.......

Chandler:没错。

All:这种梦倒从未做过。

Chandler:突然,电话响起来了,我不知道该怎么办,大家都看着我。

Monica:之前就没人看着你吗?

Chandler:最后,我觉得我应该接这个电话,结果是我妈打过来的,这非常非常的奇怪,因为她从不打电话给我。


笔记:

1、cafeteria n. 自助餐厅; 小餐厅;快餐厅

eg:Deposit your lunch tray at the cafeteria door.

把你的午餐托盘放在自助餐馆门口。

2、naked adj. 裸体的;无装饰的;无证据的;直率的

eg:If you would be revealed you must either dance naked in the sun, or carry your cross.

如果你愿意被显露出来,你必须在阳光中裸舞,或是背起你的十字架。

3、All of a sudden 突然地,出乎意料地

eg:You have all these other family members that, all of a sudden, you have to begin to embrace.

你突然之间就有了这么多的全部家庭成员,你必须开始全身心接受他们。

4、turn out v. (以某种方式)发生;最后是,结果是;出席,参加,前去观看;关掉,熄灭(电灯、煤气等);生产,制造

eg:Party plans turn out to be a particularly useful part of this picture.

聚会计划被证明是这幅画面的一个特别有用的部分。

5、weird adj. 怪异的;不可思议的;超自然的

eg:Do you ever have really, really weird dreams?
