部分學校採用了網上開學、上課的形式，
讓大家待在家裡也不得不認真學習。
當然，有的同學在非常認真的上課，
但有的同學可能就得承擔
#上網課划水的後果#
畢竟，“網課划水一時爽，開學考試做文盲”
所以還是希望童鞋們都能夠正確對待網課，
千萬不要“划水”，要認真聽講學習哦~
不過，因為疫情一直處於變化之中，
很多學校具體的開學日期也一直處於變動之中。
那麼，今天趣課君就來跟大家說說“網課”、“划水”、“開學”這些詞的英文表達。
網 課
由於延遲開學，很多學校都開始遠程教學，
學生們都開始上網課，
用英語說就是：take online courses
take a class 的意思是：上課，
卻只能表示學生上課學習知識。
老師上課是傳授知識，teach 是教課，
lesson 和 class是課程，
所以老師上課要說：teach a class / give a lesson
記憶詞卡
take a class 上課（學生上課)
teach a class / give a lesson 上課（老師講課）
take online courses 上網課
Recently many students have to take online courses.
最近很多學生不得不開始上網課。
Read books or take online courses to better acquaint yourself with your business.
通過讀書或者網上學習讓你更好地瞭解你的業務。
Universities should take good use of online courses and spread it widely.
大學應該好好利用網絡課程並廣泛傳播。
劃 水
“划水”是一種方言，
這個詞起初用於形容偷懶的船伕，
當其他船伕在認真划船時，
他們會渾水摸魚把槳從一邊撥到另一邊。
boatmen who would half-heartedly splash their oars from side to side while their colleagues did the actual rowing
後來延伸到工作和學習領域，
就成“偷懶、怠工”的意思了。
那麼，這裡的的“划水”就可以用 slack off 表示↓↓↓
slack off: to work less hard or to be less than is usual or necessary
Don't slack off in your studies.
學習上不可懈怠。
If no one is looking over our shoulder, we tend to let ourselves slack off.
如果沒人盯著，我們傾向於鬆懈自己。
開 學
關於“開學”的英文表達，
可能有童鞋會說：
那還不簡單，肯定是open school...
但其實，這是一箇中式英語（Chingish）
而放到英文中
open school 則跟中文的意思不同
只是單純的說：學校開門了
有可能是學校的
“開放日 open day”
（學校、大學、工廠等接受公眾參觀的）接待日，開放日
a day when an organization such as a school, college, or factory allows members of the public to go in and see what happens there
另外 open school 裡的 open 也可作形容詞
就變成了“開放的學校”
所以，這個表達並不準確！
我們所說的“開學”，
其實是強調“新學期開始了”的意思。
我們都知道“學期”是 semester / term
在這裡講一下這兩個詞的區別↓↓↓
① semester
(especially in the US) one of the two periods that the school or college year is divided into
學期（尤用於美國，一學年分兩個學期）
the spring / fall semester
春季 / 秋季學期
the first / second semester
第一 / 第二學期
② term
(especially in Britain) one of the three periods in the year during which classes are held in schools, universities, etc.
學期（尤用於英國，學校一年分三個學期）
the spring / summer / autumn term
春季 / 夏季 / 秋季學期
Many students now have paid employment during term.
現在許多學生在上學期間就從事有薪工作。
所以，“開學”就可以說：
The new semester starts / begins.
而在英國，可以說成：
The new term starts / begins.
The new semester starts tomorrow, I don't wanna go back to school!
明天新學期就要開始了，我不想回去上學。
The new term begins. I'm starting on making a study plan.
新的學期開始了，我正著手製定新的計劃。
如果大家覺得 start / begin 的用法太老套，
這裡還有一個新奇的說法↓↓↓
kick off
這個表達源於足球比賽，
最初是指“踢開”，有時也指“開球”。
後來，
這個表達也就漸漸有了“開始”的含義。
所以，“新學期開始了” 也就可以表達為：
The new semester kicks off.
The referee tossed a coin to decide which team should kick off.
裁判擲硬幣以決定哪個隊開球。
“開學”其實也意味著師生都需要“返校”了，
所以開學還可以用 back to school 代替。
外國朋友和你說 back to school 時，
不要理解為平常出入校園哦，
他其實是在表達“開學”。
這個用法在國外比較常見。
The new semester begins. We are back to school.
新學期開始了，我們又開學了。
My son went back to school on this Monday, he went to school by public transport.
我的兒子這個星期一開學，他是搭乘公共交通工具去的。
