On Oil Price

The graph shows the change of oil price between 1995 and 2010. Overall, oil prices increased by about five times from 1995 to 2010, with the most dramatic increase in the three years from 2006 to 2009. Prices started at 20 U.S. dollars a barrel in 1995, and dropped to the lowest point of about 18 dollars in 2000. After that, there was a steady price rise, reaching about 50 dollars a barrel in 2006. This was followed by a dramatic climb to nearly 120 dollars in 2009, and it is forecast that this rise will continue in the future.

To me, oil price seems somewhat far away from my life. But I know oil plays an important role in a country 's economy. The sharp increase of oil price could send a country into recession.Economic development needs oil, while the booming energy demand makes the rising of oil price an unavoidable trend. Therefore, it is vital that we strike a balance between the supply and demand.

精彩范文:

I am going to graduate from college and start my first job in my life in a couple of months.I have to admit that it's so thrilling to live on my own finally after having been wholly dependent on my parents financially for four years. Nevertheless, I am not so sure whether I am going to work for it for my entire life or not.

Firstly, when hunting my first job, I will never take payment into account because what I can contribute to my boss now is just putting what I have learned in college into practice. I clearly understand I am still not capable of creating many commercial profits for him. However,I’m convinced that my first job provides a precious opportunity for me to obtain working experience as much as possible. By integrating book knowledge with practical experience,I will improve myself in all aspects ranging from solving technical problems to communicating with colleagues. Accordingly, my great improvements will probably, take me to another promising job.

In short, if my first job could benefit my career development, I would stay with it;otherwise, my first job might turn out to be a springboard to my future success.
