In a brief segment of Megyn Kelly's two hour interview with the Russian head for NBC News that took place last week, the journalist grilled Putin on the country's involvement in the 2016 presidential election.

'If the 13 Russian nationals plus three Russian companies did in fact interfere with our elections is that okay with you,' Kelly asks.

Putin let out a laugh before the question was even fully asked and then added: 'I don't care, I couldn't care less.'

'Why would you allow an attack like this on the United States?' Kelly asked.

'Why have you decided the Russian authorities, myself included, gave anybody permission to do this?' Putin shot back. 'Some names have popped up. So what? They could just as easily have been the names of some Americans who are sitting here and interfering in your own political process.'

Megyn Marie Kelly (born November 18, 1970) is an American journalist, political commentator, and former corporate defense attorney.
In 2003, Kelly moved to Washington, D.C., where she was hired by the ABC affiliate WJLA-TV as a general assignment reporter.
She was a news anchor at Fox News from 2004 to 2017, Megyn Kelly was included in the 2014 Time list of the 100 most influential people.

On January 3, 2017, Kelly announced her departure from Fox News and stated that she would be joining NBC News. On June 4, 2017, she started hosting a Sunday night news magazine program titled Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly.

She has reportedly made staffers cry, has lied to managers to get her way, and has kicked out subordinates from make-up sets in order to be served first.

Iren Halperin, worked for Fox News as a make-up artist for 20 years and retired two years ago in 2016. She worked with Kelly when she co-anchored America's Newsroom with Bill Hemmer.
'She's disrespectful. She's not for women. She's extremely mean and rude to women,' Halperin said.

She recalled one day Kelly arrived 30 minutes early to her 8a.m. make-up slot time for the show, and tried to kick out a female reporter sitting in the make-up chair.
'I told her, "Please have a seat in the greenroom or start your hair first" and she said, "No. I want to get done and want to get done now,"' Halperin said.

'The next day my boss called me. Megyn went and lied to management and said, "[Iren] can’t come in on time because she has child-care issues,"' Halperin said.

One other Fox employee said they too asked for reassignment because of Kelly's 'demanding' demeanor.
