課題組介紹:
丁濤博士，現為中山大學中山醫學院教授、博士生導師。2018年入選國家海外高層次人才青年項目，同時獲聘中山大學“百人計劃”引進人才。 丁濤博士於2006年於中國科學技術大學生命科學學院獲得學士學位；2012年於俄克拉荷馬州立大學獲得生物化學與分子生物學博士學位；2012年12月至2014年3月在密歇根大學從事博士後研究工作，導師為國際著名微生物組學專家Patrick Schloss教授。2014年4月至2018年在紐約大學完成博士後研究工作，導師為國際著名系統生物學家，麥克阿瑟天才獎獲得者Elodie Ghedin教授。
丁濤教授課題組（The Ding Lab of Microbiomics, SYSU）的主要研究興趣為微生態學和微生物組學，和基於菌群和宿主相互作用的系統生物學。課題組整合人群隊列數據和動物模型實驗，應用基於微生物生態學、生物信息學與數學模型相結合的系統生物學方法，研究微生物組與宿主的相互作用，致力於明確微生物對於健康和疾病的重要意義。課題組成員包括博士/碩士研究生6名，研究助理1名，臨床合作研究生1名。 課題組目前已獲得多個科研項目支持，包括國家自然科學基金項目、科技部重點研發項目、廣東省科技計劃項目等。
課題組目前主要研究方向包括：
（1）微生物組在傳染性或慢性疾病中的動態和功能機制;
（2）呼吸道微生物組與腸道微生物組之間的協同機制（肺腸軸），以及針對宿主免疫的協同應答；
（3）微生物組學與生物安全。
