“照鏡子”其實就是看鏡子裡面的自己
常用的表達有：

例：

他心不在焉地看著鏡中的自己。

mirror 反映
mirror還可以用作動詞
mirror用作名詞時是“鏡子”的意思，轉化為動詞時表示像鏡子一樣“反映”某具體事物，也可引申用於“反映”某些抽象的東西，如經歷、想法、內心世界等。
例：
The wrinkles on his face mirrored the difficult years he had come through.
他臉上的皺紋反映出他所經歷的艱辛歲月。
The clear water mirrored the blue sky.
清澈的水能倒映出藍色的天空。
window looker 照窗族
window looker 指看到建築物、商店或者停泊車輛...等等的窗玻璃，就忍不住想要照一照，檢查一下自己的髮型、牙齒，或者整個外表狀況，我們可以稱之為“照窗族”。
例：
Don't be such a window looker. Your hair looks the same as the last time you checked, 30 seconds ago.
別照了。你的頭髮跟30秒前剛剛看過的時候一樣，沒什麼變化。
“照窗族”有可能是缺乏自信
也有可能是很自戀
