look 这个单词很简单，好记好写。但是它的动词搭配却比较多，需要挨个去记，每一个搭配我都会配上例句，方便各位同学记忆。
1、look at
①看着（某人、某物）——最常见用法。
Don't look at me！别看我！
Look at the blackboard，kids. 看黑板， 孩子们。
② 看待(某事)
We should learn to look at problems all-sidedly. 我们应该全面地看待问题。
How do you look at yourself? 你怎么看待自己？
③考虑(某事)
They refused to look at my advice. 他们拒绝考虑我的建议。
Could you please look at it again? 你能再考虑一下它吗？
④检查（某物）
He came to look at the drainage. 他是来检查排水 设备的。
Please look at your paper before handing in. 在上交之前请检查你的卷子。
2、look about/around
①环顾四周,随便看看，到处看看——最常见用法。
Since you are new here, please look about the company first. 因为你是新来的，可以先在公司四处看看。
I’m just looking around. 我只是随便看看。
②考虑
Please look about the issue carefully before you make the decision.
先仔细考虑这个重要议题，然后再作决定
3、look after sb./ sth.
照顾（某人/某物），照料（某人/某物），关心（某人/某物）
Please look after your sister when I am out. 我在外面的时候请照顾你的妹妹。
Linda is looking after the luggage. Linda在照看行李?
4、look for sb./sth.
寻找（某物/某事）
I am looking for my pen everywhere, but I can't find it. 我到处找我的钢笔，但是我没找到它。
She is looking for a new history book. 她在找一本新的历史书。
5、look down on（upon）sb./ sth.
瞧不起某人/某事
Don't look down on the poor. 不要瞧不起穷人。
The boy looked down upon girls. 那个男孩瞧不起女孩子们。
6、look like sth./sb.
看起来像某人/某物
She looks like her mom. 她看起来像她妈妈。
The twins look like each other. 那对双胞胎看起来很像彼此。
7、①look up sth. in swh.
查阅…在…中，查找
Look up the new word in the dictionary. 这个生词查查词典吧。
②look up sb.=visit sb.
看望(某人)，拜访(某人)，找(某人)
I look up my friend on Sunday. 我周日去看一位朋友。
③look up to sb.
尊敬( 某人),仰慕（某人），钦佩（某人）
People should look up to their parents. 人们应该尊敬父母。
We should always look up to our teacher. 我们应该尊重我们的老师。
8、look over sth.
审阅(某物)，检查(某物)
Would you mind looking over my homework? 请你帮我看一下我的家庭作业好吗?
I will look over my left leg in the hospital. 我要去那个医院检查我的左腿。
9、look through sth.
翻阅(某物)，浏览(某物)
Before breakfast he looked through the newspaper.
早饭前他把报纸看了一遍。
Look through your notes before the examination.
考试前翻翻你的笔记。
10、look into sth.
调查(某事)，研究(某事)
We’ll look into that case right away. 我们会马上调查那桩案件。
The police are looking into the cause of the accident. 警方正调查事故原因。
11、look forward to +n./doing
期待…，盼望…
We’re looking forward to coming here again. 我们盼望下次再来。
The kids are looking forward to your visit. 孩子们都盼望着你的到来。
12、①look back on sth.
回顾(某事)，回想(某事)
I always look back on the past when I am free. 我闲下来的时候总是回想往事。
②look back
停滞，畏缩，倒退(通常用于否定句)
No matter how difficult it is，he never looked back. 不论多难，他绝不畏缩。
13.、①look out of Sth.
向(某物)外看
Don’t look out of the window when I talk to you. 我跟你讲话的时候别往窗外看。
②look out
向外看，注意，当心，小心
He sometimes stood at the window and looked out. 他站在窗前向外望。
If you don’t look out, you’ll get hurt. 你若不当心，你会受伤的。
③look out sth.in sth.
从(某处)找出（某物），从(某处)里挑选出（某物）
We looked out his address in the telephone directory.
我们在电话簿里查到了他的地址。
She looked out a pair of pretty shoes in the closet. 她在储藏室找出一双漂亮的鞋子。
