“站在未来看现在,每一个个体都值得被记录”——都市见证系列卷首语“Standing in the future and looking backward, every individual deserves to be recorded.” – Preface of Urban Witness Series

在时间轴中,我们常常通过文字、图片、图纸、影像等方式观看历史,却无法置身其中地与过去的空间进行对话。本次展览以空间感知技术为基础,通过一系列数字化处理,将空间信息进行存档和处理,并以三维点云信息的方式呈现,记录深圳市南山区蛇口渔港的形态转变。

本团队以三个不同空间尺度的蛇口渔港码头、码头渔民生活、远洋捕鱼船为研究样本,探索空间感知技术在空间调研领域的应用。并将以此获取的空间数字信息与访问摘录、图册图解等方式相结合,最终将码头空间身临其境地叙述呈现,多维度多层次地展现城市发展的历程。我们希望通过创造与以往不同的空间认知,为城市发展的讨论带来新的视点。

Throughout the course our timeline, we understand history through words, image, video and many others, but these medium rarely allow us to have an immersive experience to understand the space and its transformation. This exhibition uses spatial perception technology as a method to perceive space. Through a series of digital processing and archiving of the gathered spatial information, the space will be presented in the form of three-dimensional point cloud information. A series of these unconventional documentations will present the morphological change of the Shekou Fishing Port in Nanshan District, Shenzhen.

Our team investigates the space of Shekou fishing port from three different scales, Shekou Fishing Port, Fishermen’s Life and Ocean Fishing Vessel. This research offers an opportunity to explore the sensing technology application in the field of spatial investigation. We combined the spatial digital information with access excerpts, pictures and diagrams to present the immersive narrative of the Fishing Port, and the process of urban development in multiple dimensions and levels. We hope this unconventional presentation offers the public a unique opportunity to witness a transformation, and thus spark a new interest on the issue of urban development.

蛇口渔港码头Shekou Fishing Port

项目选址于正发生重大改变的深圳蛇口渔港。1970年代以来,持续的政策改革、高速的经济发展、大量的人口流动以及涌现的科技创新,深圳逐步从小渔村发展成为中国第一个也是最成功的经济特区,蛇口渔港便是这个的小渔村最具代表性的象征标志,也是深圳“都市中的最后一个渔港”。2018年,蛇口渔港正式被拆除,并将改造成为一个滨海商业综合体。

The project site is located in Shenzhen Shekou Fishing Port, where major changes are taking place. Since the 1970s, continuous policy reforms, high-speed economic development, large population movements, and emerging technological innovations, Shenzhen has gradually developed from a small fishing village into China’s first and most successful special economic zone. Shekou Fishing Port illustrates this ‘over-night success’ legend. Known as “the last fishing port in the city,” it will be officially demolished in 2018 and redeveloped as a waterfront commercial complex.

码头渔民生活Fishermen’s Life

通过走访调研,我们发现本地渔民几乎完全脱离捕鱼生活,渔一村出海小渔船由50余艘逐渐减少至当今仅剩的几艘。原有与捕鱼相关产业链,如人力资源、运输、仓储、加工及销售等相关产业均受到不同程度的冲击。这种转变的原因一是填海建设造成了海洋生态系统的破坏,二是深圳二次城市化(城市更新)加快渔民财富积累,渔民不愿再继续艰苦的打鱼生活。

Through interviews and investigations, we found that the local fishermen were almost completely out of jobs. The number of private fishing boats in Yuyi Village gradually decreased from a mere 50 to just a few. The original fishing-related industrial chain, such as human resources, transportation, warehousing, processing, and sales, were all affected under varying degrees. The main actor behind this change is the land reclamation industry which is causing damage to the marine ecosystem, and the other factor is the secondary urbanization of Shenzhen (urban renewal), which has helped accelerate fishermen’s wealth, hence making them unwilling to continue the hard life of fishing.

远洋捕鱼船Ocean Fishing Vessel

项目应用了两项前沿的三维空间感知技术:航空倾斜摄影测量技术,以飞行器作为空中飞行操作平台,搭载多台影像传感器,从空中同时获取被测物的体垂直和倾斜等多角度、高重叠度、高分辨率序列影像,并用计算机对影像数据信息进行加工处理获取被测物体的三维数据。三维激光扫描技术,定点基站式扫描技术,通过高速旋转的激光发射云台,向目标照射脉冲激光来测量距离,可以快速大量的采集空间的点位信息数据,并用计算机建立被测物体的三维影像模型,注册点云生成场景序列。

This project is created through the use of two cutting-edge spatial sensing technologies: Oblique Aerial Photography which is an airborne scanning technique: a professional DSLR camera captures images from the side of an aircraft; simultaneously acquiring multiple angles and high overlaps such as the vertical and tilt of the measured object from the air. High-resolution, and high-resolution sequence images are processed with a computer to obtain the three-dimensional data of the measured object. 3D LiDAR Scanning is a fixed-point base station scanning technology, pairing on rotating gimbal to emit pulsed laser to measure the target ‘s distance. It can collect large amounts of point cloud data and establish a three-dimensional model of the site.
