（1）want 動詞，意為“想，想要”，相當於 would like。其常用結構如下：
- want to do sth. 想要做某事
eg：I want to watch TV. 我想要看電視。
- want sth. 想要某物
eg：I want a book. 我想要一本書。
- want sb to do sth. 想要某人做某事
eg：Jane wants her father to go to the park with her. 簡想讓她爸爸和她一起去公園。
- want… for… 為了······需要······
eg：We want students for the school show. 我們想讓學生參加學校的演出。
（2）join 動詞，意為“參加；加入”。
eg：I want to join the music club. 我想加入音樂俱樂部。
辨析 join 與 join in
join ：表示參加某黨派、組織或社會團體，成為其中的一員，也可以指加入到某（些）人中
join in ：表示參加正在進行著的、小規模的活動，如比賽、遊戲等
eg：He wants to join the English club. 他想加入英語俱樂部。
eg：Can I join in the game？ 我可以參加這個遊戲嗎？
