Eventually, Snowden will be seen by history as an early hero fighting against repression and illegal, unconstitutional acts by the United States government and this fight is FAR from over. In fact, it is still in its infancy, because freedom-loving Americans will be fighting this battle for freedom FROM our own government's abuses for many years to come, and things will likely devolve in this freedom fight to the point where it resembles the fight our founding fathers undertook and becomes a second revolution.

He furious Russia have refused to give him permanent asylum as he has been extending his temporary asylum 1 year at a time. The current one expires 2020 after which he has to leave . Ecuador , Venezuela have offers him permanent asylum but in Latin America , unlike Russia in Latin America he will be captured and returned home as America’s security apparatus will grab . Washington can easily demand the host country to hand him over . For now he should be thankful to russia as no other nations can keep him without handing him to the USA homeland.

The fact that Snowden made many American citizens aware that government spies on them and the danger this represents to their and future generations of Americans should be weighted against this same government exposure made by him on American government spyng against foreigners and foreign governments. While the first part of what government is doing is repulsive and indeed dangerous to well being of own citizens the latter part although repulsive as well may have carried some benefits to this country.

To me, Snowden is a hero who revealed the shady dealings of the government. I ain't an American, so I don't have the misguided patriotism (mental illness) that many of you Americans have. Mr. Snowden shouldn't be safe anywhere in the world--not even North Korea, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia nor Venezuela ( countries who hate us, sponsor terror and work towards our ruination ). He should turn himself in already, plead his case and endure whatever punishment the NSA and the courts seek to deliver upon him.
