先看题例，这是2018年青浦区的一模卷：
句子结构四分法，先了解一下：
下面我们对文章进行逐句分析。按照基本步骤：
（1）该句子所属的、符合上表的类型，用A、B、C、D来表示；
（2）按照“语块”理解大意，主要包括名词和动词词组、分词分句和从句。
（3）如有必要，需结合上下文信息，从语篇衔接的角度进行辨析。
这三个步骤并非缺一不可。
【句子解析】
1. As Kevin gazed at the river, he caught sight of several people on the bank (21)_____ (motion) toward the water.
2. Kevin assumed the person on the boat (22) _________ (jump) out of it.
3. “Then I heard a warning signal with a loud sound,” says Kevin, now 42. “That’s (23) _________I realized somebody was in trouble.”
4. He couldn’t see anyone in the river, (24) _________he sped toward the bank and dashed into the freezing water.
