接名词时，以元音音素开头的单词，前面加an，以辅音音素开头的单词前面加a；例如：
It's an apple.
It's an egg.
It's a dog.
It's a plane.
表达第一次问好
hello 和 hi用来问候他人。
Hello. 你好。
Hi! 嗨！
Hello可以用在正式和非正式场合。Hi 则比较非正式。hello 和 hi都可以用在一天当中的任何时候。
介绍你的姓名
使用 I'm 和 My name is 告诉别人你的名字。
I'm Jane. 我是Jane。
My name is Nancy. 我叫 Nancy。
在英语中，一般提供两个名字：first name 和 last name。
前者是你的名，后者是姓，因为来源你的家族，所以也称为 family name。
比如：
迈克尔·约瑟夫·杰克逊（Michael Joseph Jackson)
first name 名：Michael
last name 姓：Jackson
Joseph是父辈名字，一般不用提

注意人称和be动词之间的连接：
I + am
you/we/they + are
she/he/it + is
be动词后面加名词：
I am a student. 我是学生。
He is an engineer. 他是一个工程师。（这里的engineer是以元音e开头的，所以前面用了an）
be动词后面加形容词：
He is busy. 他很忙。
They are nice. 他们很好。
be动词的否定式：
not与be构成否定式，not一词位于be动词之后。
I am not a student. 我不是学生。
He is not busy. 他不忙。
They are not nice. 他们都不好。
be动词的缩写：
动词be否定形式的缩写有两种形式。
- 第一种是缩写主格（I/he/she/they...）和动词be。
I am not a student. 我不是学生。
I'm not a student. 我不是学生。
She is not busy. 她不忙。
She's not busy. 她不忙。
We are not teachers. 我们不是老师。
We're not teachers. 我们不是老师。
- 另一种方法是缩写be 动词和单词 not。
He is not a student. 他不是学生。
He isn't a student. 他不是学生。
They are not new students. 他们不是新学生。
They aren't new students. 他们不是新学生。
be 动词引导的疑问句
为了构成含有 be 动词的“是非问句”，将动词移至句首。记住在句尾加上问号 ( ? )。
He is a student. 他是学生。
Is he a student? 他是学生吗？
They are new. 他们是新来的。
Are they new? 他们是新来的吗？
You are busy. 你们很忙。
Are you busy? 你们很忙吗？
是非问句的简短回答
通常使用 yes 或 no 起头，后跟 be 动词形式的简短回答。
Is he a student? 他是学生吗？
Yes, he is. 是，他是的。
Are they busy? 他们忙吗？
No, they aren’t. 不，他们不忙
含疑问词的疑问句
有些疑问句以 how 或 what 等疑问词起句。注意，疑问词位于 be 动词之前。
What's your name? 你叫什么？
How are you? 你好吗？
What's your telephone number? 你的电话号码是多少？
What's your last name? 你姓什么？
日常问候情景对话
我们可能都听过下面这段对话：
M: Good morning, Tom.
T : Good morning, Marry. How are you today?
M: I am fine. Thanks, and you?
T : I'm good.
M: Well, have a nice day!
在比较正式的场合，比如办公室，使用How are you? 你好吗？进行问候。
当别人问你how are you?的时候，除了说I am fine, thank you. 以外，还可以回答：
Not bad
Quite Good
Perfectly Good
Not Good
It's OK
Not to die
Pretty good
Just so so

中午之前用 good morning 问候。
从中午到下午6点用 good afternoon 问候。
从下午6点到午夜用 good evening 问候。
