故事概述
一个觉得很孤单的小女孩开始数自己有多少好朋友，这下不得了！数来数去，原来，她有这么多的朋友呢！想到天天有他们陪伴，女孩的心情慢慢好起来。原来，这就是朋友的魅力啊！
这本书通过女孩数朋友的过程教会孩子1-10的数字。
本书课程分为上下两节：
上节，主要引领小朋友朗读并训练1-10的数字。下节，讲述书本故事内容并配以数字复习。
书的最后有非常实用的亲子互动及共读建议，家长可以直接引用。

小小常：妈妈，我今天在幼儿园认识了好几个新来的小朋友。We are friends.
常妈：That’s nice! All your new friends and old friends are your buddies. 你的新朋友和老朋友都是你的好朋友。Buddy是特别亲密的好朋友。Buddy, buddy, b-u-ddy, buddy.
小小常：Mom, I have lots of buddies in my kindergarten. 我在幼儿园有好多好朋友。妈妈你有吗Do you have buddies?
常妈：当然有，我想想啊 1, 2, 3, 4,5,6,7,8,9, 10. I have ten buddies.我有十个好朋友，你呢？
小小常：I have ten buddies, too.妈妈你这本书是什么故事呢？
常妈：是一个小女孩数朋友的故事。我们一起来读读吧！
小小常：好呀！
常妈：一天早上，一个小女孩从睡梦中醒来，可能是因为做了不好的梦，心情有点糟糕。She feels lonely, crummy, yucky and very sad. Lonely 是孤单的意思，crummy 就是感觉自己很渺小，微不足道，yucky就是不太愉快。她是这样说的：“When I wake up feeling lonely, crummy, yucky and very sad…当我醒来感觉自己孤零零、很渺小，很沮丧，很难过的时候… ”
小小常：她会怎样呢？What does she do?
常妈：她呀，就会count up all her buddies数数她身边的那些好朋友，count up 就是数数，算一算的意思。 然后心情就可以变开心，愉快乐呵呵的了。她说：“ I count up all my buddies, and I’m happy, cheery, glad.我一数到自己有那么多好朋友，我就立刻变得开心，愉快，没烦恼了。
小小常：妈妈，每次去幼儿园前我都有点难过。When I go to kindergarten, I feel yucky and sad. I count up my buddies, and I am happy and cheery. 当我数数我在幼儿园里有好几个好朋友，我就变得开心了。
常妈：看来你和故事中的小女孩有点像呢。好啦，我们往下看，咦，你看她手里托着什么？
小小常： One hamster!一只小仓鼠！There is one hamster in her hand.
常妈：嗯，她托着的这只仓鼠就是她的朋友。She holds one hamster in her hand. 她托着一只仓鼠在手里。Hold 就是书上画的这个托着，捧着的动作。
小小常：妈妈，我每次帮你取鸡蛋，我都把鸡蛋托在手心里I hold the eggs in my hands.
常妈：嗯，你最细心了。你说，现在小女孩数了几个朋友？
小小常：One hamster is her buddy. So it’s ONE. Does she have more buddies? 她还有更多的朋友吗？
常妈：当然了，她继续数着：“and I count my older sisters who play trumpets in a band.”Trumpet是一种乐器叫小号，你看这就是小号。吹小号，演奏小号就是play trumpet. 她还数了她的姐姐older sisters. 而且她的姐姐们在乐队里演奏小号They play trumpets in a band. 你来数数How many older sisters does she have?
小小常：One, two! She has two older sisters. 她有两个姐姐，她的两个姐姐还是她的好朋友。I don’t have older sisters.
常妈：But you have lots of buddies.可是你依然有很多好朋友啊。我们继续往下看：
小小常：Wow, kittens, kittens ! The kittens are playing.小猫咪们在玩耍呢！
常妈：这些贪玩的小猫咪是小女孩的好朋友呢!她说：“I count my cousin’s kittens who always like to play.我数数我表妹家的贪玩的小猫咪。小小常，how many kittens do you see?
小小常：One, two, three! Three kittens! Three kittens are her buddies, too.
常妈：Right. And, look, these people are her buddies, too. 这些人也是她的朋友。They are here in the store. 他们在这个小商店里。She visits the store every day.这个女孩每天都要来这个商店。 你数数，how many people are in the store?
小小常：One, two, three, four. There are four people in the store that she visits every day. These four people are her buddies.
常妈： Absolutely right! 女孩的朋友远不止这些。还有她家隔壁的邻居们，也是她的朋友。The next-door neighbors are her buddies, too. 而且小女孩平时还乐于助人，帮助她的邻居打扫院子，邻居就会付给她一点点费用作为感谢，这些钱都放进了她的存钱罐piggy bank里面.
小小常：One, two, three, four, five. She has five neighbors. 她有五个邻居朋友。除了邻居还有别的朋友吗？
常妈：Definitely. 你看，这是什么？
小小常：Wow, a bubbly bubbly tank. 一个有好多泡泡的鱼缸呀。There are fish in the tank.鱼缸里还有鱼呢！One, two, three, four, five, six. Six fish are in the tank. 鱼缸里有六条鱼。
常妈：These slinky fish are her buddies. 这些线条优美的小鱼，也是她的朋友。
小小常: 原来，fish, hamsters，kittens都可以做我们的朋友。妈妈，小女孩的朋友还有谁呢？
常妈: 她的一些阿姨叔叔开着车来看望她了。Her aunts and uncles visit her in their cars. 他们也是她的朋友。They are her buddies, too.
小小常: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. She has seven aunts and uncles.
常妈: And some playmates 还有一些小玩伴小伙伴呢。你看看她最喜欢的playmates喜欢干什么呢？
小小常: 躺在地上，看天空吗？
常妈: 看星星 stare at stars. Her favorite playmates like to stare at stars. 她最喜欢的伙伴们喜欢看星星。你数数，how many favorite playmates does she have?
小小常: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. She has eight favorite playmates who like to stare at stars.
常妈: Great! 她还有很多朋友没数呢。
小小常: 是故事里的人物吗？
常妈: 猜对了！The special friends in the stories are her buddies, too.
小小常: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. She has nine special buddies. 妈妈，我也有很多故事里的朋友，比如：小王子、小红帽、毛毛虫都是我的好朋友。
常妈: 妈妈知道的，还有你的玩具们也是你的好朋友，就像这个小女孩一样，依偎在她床上的这些泰迪熊也都是她的好朋友。Look at these cuddly teddy bears.看，这些讨人喜欢的泰迪熊。They snuggle in her bed. 依偎在她的床上。They are her buddies. 他们也是她的朋友。
小小常: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. She has ten buddies. 妈妈，她真幸运，有这么多好朋友。
常妈: She is a very lucky person. 她的确是个幸运的人。所以她不再像刚刚醒来时那样沮丧了。她有那么多朋友her buddies can be counted and they can always count on her! 她的朋友们都可以依靠她。Count on就是依靠，依赖，指望的意思。 妈妈做饭时候，就依靠你来帮我取鸡蛋。I can count on you.
小小常: 妈妈，you are my buddy. You can always count on me.你永远都可以依靠我的。
常妈: 好啦，我们看一下这里，她到底有多少朋友吧：
小小常:One hamster she holds in her big hand.
常妈: Two older sisters who play trumpets in a band.
小小常: Three kittens who like to play.
常妈: Four people in the store she visits every day.
小小常：Five next-door neighbors who put pennies in her bank.
常妈：Six slinky fish in their bubbly bubbly tank.
小小常：Seven aunts and uncles who visit in their cars.
常妈：Eight favorite playmates who like to stare at stars.
小小常：Nine special friends in the stories she has read.
常妈：Ten cuddly teddy bears who snuggle in her bed.
