然而，一个男人的离职，却引发了轩然大波，让一家公司市值“呈自由落体式下跌”。
市值缩水15%左右，蒸发了147亿美元，折合成938亿元人民币，堪称“山体滑坡”。

陆奇是谁？
陆奇1961年出生于上海。
高考时因为视力不佳无法从事喜欢的物理实验，选择在复旦大学读计算机专业，希望将来能在无线电厂找到一份工作。
本科毕业后，又继续留在复旦读计算机研究生学位。
某次周末因风大雨大无法回家看望父母，宿舍里的一位同学邀他参加卡内基美隆大学大学艾德蒙·克拉克教授的研讨会。
会中陆奇提出几个问题让克拉克教授印象深刻，会后克拉克教授看过陆奇的论文后，要陆奇申请卡内基美隆大学进修。
在这样的机缘巧合下，陆奇去了卡内基美隆大学读博士学位。
毕业之后，陆奇进入美国互联网界，一路晋升。
1998年，他加入雅虎，随后带领团队做出雅虎第一个搜索引擎。
靠着拼命的工作精神和强悍的业务能力，让美国同事心服口服。
2007年，他成为雅虎执行副总裁(Executive Vice President)。
2008年加入微软。但当时，微软正在疲软期，整体创新不足，公司士气一度比较低落。陆奇的加入，让整个团队焕然一新。

当时，陆奇是这么回答的：
Most people in the field would agree AI is the next big wave. And I think AI+China is particularly meaningful because in my views, China has the structural advantage in terms of Ai technology development and commercialization.
在我们这一行的大部分人都认同人工智能是下一个浪潮。而且我觉得人工智能+中国有着特别的意义。因为中国在技术开发和商业化方面有着结构性优势。
In that context, Baidu offers a unique opportunity for me. First of all, Baidu, in many ways, is the Google of China. Its heritage is search engine. As a result, from engineering capability and cultural capacity perspective, it's uniquely positioned to seize the Ai opportunity.
And aslo, I happen to be a friend of Robin Li , known as founder and CEO of Baidu for almost 20 years. So there is a lot of long-term relationshp and trust. So that's a good opportunity for me to take of.
