2020年3月11日,NVIDIA对外宣布将以69亿美元(约合人民币488亿)的价格收购网络芯片公司Mellanox Technologies。按照该价格计算,NVIDIA实际上以每股125美元(较收盘价溢价14%)的价格收购了该公司。

成立于1999年的Mellanox,旗下拥有系列网卡、适配器、以太网交换机、消息传递加速器等产品,总部设在美国加州圣塔克拉拉、以色列Yokneam,是服务器和存储端到端连接解决方案的领先供应商;


其一直致力于InfiniBand和以太网互联产品的研发,2010年底曾收购著名Infiniband交换机厂商Voltaire,从而在高性能计算、云计算、数据中心、企业计算、存储市场拥有全面的业务能力;

Eyal Waldman

President, CEO, and Director

Eyal Waldman is a co-founder of Mellanox, and has served as our president and chief executive officer and as a member of our board of directors since March 1999. From March 1999 until June 2013, Mr. Waldman served as our chairman of our board of directors. From March 1993 to February 1999, Mr. Waldman served as vice president of engineering and was a co-founder of Galileo Technology, Ltd., a semiconductor company, which was acquired by Marvell Technology Group, Ltd. in January 2001. From August 1989 to March 1993, Mr. Waldman held a number of design and architecture related positions at Intel Corporation, a manufacturer of computer, networking and communications products. Mr. Waldman also serves and previously served on the board of directors of a number of private companies. Mr. Waldman holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. In June 2016, Mr. Waldman was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Technion. Mr. Waldman is located in Israel.


Michael Kagan

Chief Technology Officer

Michael Kagan is a co-founder of Mellanox and has served as CTO since January 2009. Previously, Mr. Kagan served as vice president of architecture from May 1999 to December 2008. From August 1983 to April 1999, Mr. Kagan held a number of architecture and design positions at Intel Corporation. While at Intel Corporation, between March 1993 and June 1996, Mr. Kagan managed Pentium MMX design, and from July 1996 to April 1999, he managed the architecture team of the Basic PC product group. Mr. Kagan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technion — Israel Institute of Technology.


Udi Weinstein

Chief Information Officer

Udi Weinstein, Chief Information Officer, joined Mellanox in 2015 and is responsible for all Mellanox information technologies and information systems. Before joining Mellanox, Mr. Weinstein worked as vice president of information technologies at modu and SanDisk Corporation. Before that, he was the vice president and CIO of msystems. Mr. Weinstein has over 15 years of experience in organization & methods and in information technologies, mostly in the areas of operation, supply chain and engineering. Mr. Weinstein holds a B.A. in economics from Tel Aviv University.


Doug Ahrens

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Doug Ahrens joined Mellanox as senior vice president and chief financial officer in January 2019. From 2015 to 2018, Mr. Ahrens was CFO at GlobalLogic, a private equity-owned software development company, where he oversaw the finance, legal, and IT functions. Over the prior 20 years, Mr. Ahrens worked in the semiconductor industry, most recently as the CFO of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation. Previously, Mr. Ahrens was the VP of finance at Maxim Integrated and he held a variety of operational finance positions at Intel Corporation. Mr. Ahrens also served as an environmental engineer at Chevron Corporation. Mr. Ahrens earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He holds an active CPA license in California.


Amir Prescher

Senior Vice President, End-user Sales and Business Development

Amir Prescher has served as our senior vice president of End-user Sales & business development since December 2018. Previously, Mr. Prescher served as senior vice president of business development from February 2013 to December 2018 and previously before that, he served as vice president of business development from February 2011 to January 2013. Prior to joining Mellanox, Mr. Prescher was a founder of Voltaire Ltd. where he served in various capacities, including executive vice president of business development from 2008 to 2011, vice president of business development from 2001 to 2008, vice president of marketing from 1999 to 2001, and from 1997 to 1999, as vice president of research and development. Prior to Voltaire Ltd., Mr. Prescher served as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces Technical Intelligence Unit. Mr. Prescher studied at Tel-Aviv University with a focus in electricity and electronics engineering.


Marc Sultzbaugh

Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Marc Sultzbaugh has served as Mellanox's senior vice president of worldwide sales since December 2012. Previously, Mr. Sultzbaugh served as Mellanox's vice president of worldwide sales from April 2007 to December 2012. Mr. Sultzbaugh joined Mellanox Technologies in 2001 as director of high performance computing and director of central area sales, and was later promoted to senior director of sales in October 2005. Prior to Mellanox, he held various executive sales and marketing positions with Brooktree Semiconductor. From 1985 to 1989, Sultzbaugh was an engineer at AT&T Microelectronics. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Missouri-Rolla, and a Master's of Business Administration from The University of California, Irvine.


Chuck Tybur

Senior Vice President of Worldwide OEM & Channel Sales

Chuck Tybur has served as Mellanox's senior vice president of worldwide OEM & channel sales since 2019. Previously, Mr. Tybur served as Mellanox’s vice president of Americas & global OEM sales from August 2011 to December 2018. Mr. Tybur joined Mellanox in 2009 as director of sales for the US central region. Prior to Mellanox, Mr. Tybur was vice president of worldwide sales for NetXen from 2007, a 10Gb Ethernet semiconductor company acquired by Qlogic in 2009. From 1990 to 2007, Mr. Tybur worked at Intel Corporation in various sales and marketing functions of increasing responsibility. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University School of Engineering in New Jersey.


Alinka Flaminia

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Ms. Flaminia joined Mellanox in September 2016 as senior vice president and general counsel. Prior to this, Ms. Flaminia served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of PMC- Sierra, Inc. from January 2007 until it was acquired by Microsemi Corporation in January 2016. Before this, Ms. Flaminia served as senior counsel at Xilinx, Inc. from March 2001 through 2006 where she provided legal services to the finance and corporate services, sales, marketing and human resources organizations worldwide. Ms. Flaminia served as manager of legal affairs for McAfee, Inc. (formerly known as Network Associates, Inc.) from December 1999 to March 2001. Ms. Flaminia was in private practice from 1990-1999, representing companies on a wide variety of corporate and litigation matters. Ms. Flaminia received her Doctorate of Law (J.D.) from the University of Colorado and her Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.


Shlomit Weiss

Senior Vice President of Silicon Engineering

Shlomit Weiss has served as senior vice president of silicon development and held management roles such as client system-on-a-chip design manager and various server components at Intel since 1989. Ms. Weiss holds an MSc in electrical engineering (1989, Cum Laude) and BSc (1987) in computer science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Ms. Weiss holds multiple patents in the field of microprocessor design, and has received Intel Achievement Award for her contributions.


Eyal Babish

Senior Vice President of Operations & Hardware Engineering

Eyal Babish joined Mellanox in 2001 and is responsible for all hardware and system products. Previously, Mr. Babish was vice president of system solutions, responsible for the management of Mellanox system solutions and product engineering organization including development, qualification, certification, production testing, program management, and customer support. Prior to Mellanox, Mr. Babish worked at Elbit Systems as a hardware engineer. Mr. Babish graduated with a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion Institute of Technology, Israel.


Kevin Deierling

Senior Vice President of Marketing

Kevin Deierling has served as Mellanox's senior vice president of marketing since March 2013. Previously, Mr. Deierling was chief architect at Silver Spring Networks from 2007 to 2012. From 2005 to 2007, he was vice president of marketing and business development at Spans Logic. From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Deierling was vice president of product marketing at Mellanox Technologies. Deierling has contributed to multiple technology standards through organization including the InfiniBand Trade Association and PCI Industrial Manufacturing Group. He has over 20 patents and was a contributing author of a text on BiCmos design. Mr. Deierling holds a BA in Solid State Physics from UC Berkeley.


Dror Goldenberg

Senior Vice President of Software Architecture

Dror Goldenberg has served as Mellanox’s senior vice president of software architecture since March 2013. Previously, Mr. Goldenberg served as vice president of architecture from March 2010 to October 2013, where he was responsible for software, firmware and system architecture. Mr. Goldenberg joined Mellanox in 2000 as an architect, serving in numerous architecture and design positions. Prior to Mellanox, Mr. Goldenberg held various software development positions on an elite R&D team in the Israeli Defense Force. Prior to that, Mr. Goldenberg was a member of the Pentium MMX and Pentium 4 architecture validation teams at Intel. He contributed to the PCI and InfiniBand specifications and holds several patents in the field of high speed networking. Mr. Goldenberg graduated Cum Laude with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and holds an MBA from the Technion Institute of Technology Israel.


Amit Krig

Senior Vice President of Software

Amit Krig has served as Mellanox’s senior vice president of software since October 2013. Previously, Mr. Krig was Mellanox’s vice president of solution validation and program management from March 2012 to October 2013. Mr. Krig joined Mellanox in 2000 as a software engineer, holding numerous roles including software development, solution validation, post-silicon program management and customer project management. Prior to Mellanox, Mr. Krig worked at Intel Corporation. Mr. Krig graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Computer Science from the Technion -- Israel Institute of Technology.


Gilad Shainer

Senior Vice President of Marketing

Gilad Shainer has served as Mellanox's senior vice president of marketing since March 2013. Previously, Mr. Shainer was Mellanox's vice president of marketing development from March 2012 to March 2013. Mr. Shainer joined Mellanox in 2001 as a design engineer and later served in senior marketing management roles between July 2005 and February 2012. Mr. Shainer holds several patents in the field of high-speed networking and contributed to the PCI-SIG PCI-X and PCIe specifications. Gilad Shainer holds a MSc degree (2001, Cum Laude) and a BSc degree (1998, Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel.


Einat Zuk

Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Einat Zuk has served as Mellanox's senior vice president of human resources since March 2012. Mrs. Zuk joined Mellanox in 2001 where she was responsible for Mellanox global human resource activities. Prior to Mellanox, Mrs. Zuk held various human resource management positions at Elbit Systems and Runway Venture Capital. Mrs. Zuk holds a Bachelors and Masters in Organizational Psychology from the Haifa University in Israel.


Nimrod Gindi

Senior Vice President of M&A and Head of Investments

Nimrod Gindi has served as Mellanox Senior Vice President of M&A and Head of Investments since February 2015 overseeing Mellanox Capital. Previously, Mr. Gindi was Mellanox Capital Managing Director from 2014 and Mellanox's Senior Director of Corporate development. Mr. Gindi joined Mellanox in 2000 as a software engineer, holding numerous roles including firmware/software development, solution validation, Business Development. Prior to Mellanox, Mr. Gindi worked at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. Mr. Gindi graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.


收购后Mellanox给英伟达带来的好处


一.2019年NVIDIA的数据中心业务约占总营收的25%,收购后完善NVIDIA数据中心和HPC产品线,会进一步加大英伟达在数据中心市场的优势;


二.这个比较明显:股票涨了不少,2020-3-11宣布日期股价246.47美金, 截至2020-4-17股价292.32美金, 一个月多的时间每股涨了45.85美金,涨幅18.6%
