二、feature的基本用法之搭配
上期关于feature的基本用法，feature做了“自我介绍”，我们一起再来回顾一下：feature既可作名词又可作动词用，作动词用时既可用作及物动词又可用作不及物动词。作为名词时，其意思从使用的频度来排序是：特征，特色；特写，专题报道；故事片；面容（常用复数）。作动词用时常用的意思有：以……为特征/特色；由……主演；起重要作用。feature除了以上的基本用法外，还有以下的一些常用搭配：
1) run a feature on sth. 对某事进行专题报道 ，例如：The CCTV will run a special feature on the conference. 中央电视台将对这次会议进行专题报道。
2) feature of sth. 某物的特征或特色，例如：Seen from space, the most striking feature of our planet is water. 从太空看地球，我们这个星球最引人注目的特征就是水。
3) a feature on sb.关于某人的专题报道，例如：The journalist is writing a feature on the new president. 这位记者正在写一篇关于新总统的专题报道。
4）make a feature of以……为特色，例如：The book makes a feature of young men’s life.这本书以描写年轻人的生活为特色。
5）be featured in（常用的被动结构） 以……为主要角色；由……起主要作用；以……为重要部分。例如：Gong li is featured in the movie the Red Sorghum. 电影《红高粱》由巩俐主演。
此外，feature常与下列名词连用，构成名词性短语，如：feature film 故事片, best feature
最佳影片, Feature Photography特写（专题/普利策专题）摄影奖; Clinical feature临床表现; safety feature 安全装置，psychological feature 心理特征；geographical features 地理特征; notable /striking feature 显著的特征; fine features 眉清目秀; handsome相貌英俊poor features相貌丑陋；physical features 体格特征beautify the features 美容，distort the features 使容貌变形。
feature 用作不及物动词时, 后面常接介词 in 或 on，构成动词短语：如：The medical team of the PLA features in the campaign against resisting coronavirus. 中国人民解放军医疗队是抗击冠状病毒的重要力量。(feature in在某事物中起重要作用)，Chenglong features in a new movie 成龙在一部新片中担任主角。(feature in 在……中担任主角) Several well-known actors and actresses' names feature on the newspaper. 报纸上刊登了好几位著名的男女演员。(feature on 刊载)。由上可知，我们平常为什么读不懂有feature所在的句子，恐怕与不了解feature与其他词搭配后所产生的新的含义有一定的关系吧。关于feature与characteristic等词的区别与辨析，咱们下期再聊！
