2019年的冬天，一種新型冠狀病毒(the pneumonia epidemic )在武漢華南海鮮市場滋生，悄然從野生動物傳染給人類。據央視新聞客戶端消息，截至2020年1月29日24時，我國已累計報告新型冠狀病毒感染的肺炎確診病例7711例，死亡170例。
