Imagine this – there’s five minutes left in the exam and you are only halfway through your second body paragraph! What do you do?!
想象一下：如果考試還剩最後5分鐘，而大作文的第三段才寫了一半，這時候該怎麼辦！？
WRITE A CONCLUSION!
寫結尾段！
You absolutely HAVE TO write a conclusionto save your Task Achievement score. Without one, you are almost certain toreceive a 5.0 for TA as the examiner will decide that even though you have presented a position, there have been “no conclusions drawn”. And for mosttest-takers, a 5.0 for TA means kissing goodbye to any hopes of a 7.0 overall.
如果是這種情況，千萬一定記得要寫結尾段來挽回一點TA的分數。因為如果你的文章沒有結尾的話（即使你的觀點和支撐例子都特別出色），你的TA的分數基本上就是5分，不能再高了。如果TA只有5分的話，對於大部分烤鴨來說，寫作上7分是基本無望了。
So, if you realise that you are running outof time in the exam, this is my advice：
如果你遇上了寫不完文章的情況，請務必記下以下幾點：
1. Quickly finish the sentence you’re writing in the second body paragraph (NEVER leave an unfinished sentence)
快速寫完第三段你正在寫的句子，千萬不要留下任何一個寫到一半的句子
2. Leave 3 or 4 lines space (so you can come back later to finish this paragraph if you have time)
空個3，4行（如果最後時間充足的話，還可以回去補上）
3. Go and write your conclusion (rememberto give an opinion if you have been asked for one)
著手寫結尾段（如果題目要求給出自己的觀點的話，一定記得寫上）
4. If you still have some time, go back and complete the second body paragraph (but only start a sentence if you are sure you have time to finish it!)
如果時間還夠的話，回去把第三段寫完（如果不能再規定時間寫完一個完整的句子的話，寧願不寫了）
5. Breathe!!!
深呼吸！！！
Also, if you spend too much time on Task 1 and realise that you probably won’t have time to finish your essay, then it is MUCH BETTER to write a shorter first body paragraph (especially in a Discuss Both Sides essay as this will NOT be your opinion) and a more extended second body paragraph. Examiners expect to read your strongest arguments just before the conclusion and by having a more detailed 3nd paragraph you will be hopefully able to rescue your CC score as well as your mark for TA.
另外，如果你花了太多時間在小作文上，意識到自己可能沒有時間完成大作文了，那麼最好的方式就是寫一個簡短的第二段（特別是在Discuss Both Sides的文章中，因為該類題目不需要寫自己的觀點）+ 一個較長的第三段。因為考官希望在結尾段前看到一個strongest arguments. 所以一個更細節的第三段可能可以挽回你的CC和TA的分數。
Of course, you are going to manage your time properly so this definitely won’t happen to you！
