高考英语阅读要做到又快有准，关键在于把握句旨、段旨及文旨的快与慢，准与偏。
高考阅读对考生答题速度和准确度双重考查，若能准确把握句旨、段旨及文旨，有助加快阅读的速度、提高答题的准确度。准确把握主旨的具体方法路径分别有下：
一、抓中心词, 把握句旨
英语句子的基本结构承载句子主信息，即句旨，其它结构为句旨修饰成分。句子（含从句）中心词指的是承担句子基本结构成分（主谓语、主谓宾语、主系表语、主谓宾宾补语、主谓双宾语）的名词、代词、动词、形容词等, 表某人、某事、某物做了什么或处于某种状态。阅读时，把握住句子中心词, 句旨即可很快在心。如：
Hearing the news, he got so excited with his parents.
此句用来承担句子基本结构主系表成分的中心词是“he got excited”，所以句旨为“他很兴奋”，其它为修饰成分。
二、抓主题句，把握段旨
段落主题句位置或段首、或段中内容转折后的句子，有时为段尾句。若无主题句，就结合全段内容归纳出段旨。
三、理顺结构，把握文旨
英语篇章结构通常类型：
1）引出话题--话题演绎--生发文旨（夹叙夹议类）
2）现象呈现--现象分析--现象看法（即文旨）（社会现象类）
3）引出说明对象--加以对象说明--对象发展前景（即文旨）（说明类）
4）引出现象--不同观点--作者观点（即文旨）（议论类）
以2019年高考英语全国卷I阅读理解C篇做具体说明：
第一段
①As data and identity theft becomes more and more common, the market is growing for biometric(生物测量)technologies—like fingerprint scans—to keep others out of private e-spaces. ②At present, these technologies are still expensive, though.
段落句旨
第一句为主谓结构成分中心词：“the market is growing ... （生物检测）这一市场方兴未艾。”
第二句为主系表结构成分中心词：“these technologies are still expensive ：技术成本依旧高。
段落段旨
though为语义转折，故“生物检测技术成本仍居高不下”为段旨。
段落篇章结构地位
属篇章话题引述段落。作者引出话题：目前用来防护电脑安全的生物检测技术装置成本过高。

第四段
①In a study describing the technology, the researchers had 100 volunteers type the word “touch”four times using the smart keyboard. ②Data collected from the device could be used to recognize different participants based on how they typed, with very low error rates.③ The researchers say that the keyboard should be pretty straightforward to commercialize and is mostly made of inexpensive, plastic-like parts. ④The team hopes to make it to market in the near future.
段落句旨
第一句为主谓宾宾补结构成分中心词：the researchers had 100 volunteers type the word “touch”. 研究人员叫100名实验志愿者用这款智能键盘分别敲打出“touch”这个词。
