据《纽约时报》报道,全球有近3亿孩子正在“失学”。忽如其来的漫长假期治好了不少学生的“厌学症”,学校关闭也给家庭和社会带来一系列的连锁反应。到底是怎么回事呢?

The coronavirus epidemic reached deeper into daily life across the world on Wednesday, with a sweeping shutdown of all schools in Italy and warnings of school closures in the United States, intensifying the educational upheaval of nearly 300 million students globally.


周三(3月4日)全世界范围内新冠病毒(coronavirus epidemic)更加深刻地影响了人们的日常生活。随着意大利所有学校大规模停课(shutdown)以及美国发出关闭学校(school closures)的警告,影响全球(globally)近3亿学生的教育动荡(educational upheaval)加剧了。


全段其实是一个简单句,with引导的介词短语作伴随状语,intensifying作结果状语,表明学校关停带来的影响。
