分數的表達法
(1)分數由基數詞和序數詞組成。分子用基數詞，分母用序數詞，分子大於1，分母加 s
one third
三分之一
two thirds
三分之二
one fifth
五分之一
five eighths
八分之五
(2)當分子是1時，可以用 one，也可以用 a
a third=one third
三分之一
(3)帶分數，在分數前加整數再加 and
two and three fourths
二又四分之三
five and three ninths
五又九分之三
(4)表示幾分之幾的人或物時，要用介詞 of
若作主語，謂語動詞與 of 後的名詞的人稱和數一致
One third of the students in our class have been to the Great Wall.
我們班1/3的學生去過長城。
Four fifths of the water is drunk by the children.
4/5的水被孩子們喝了。
(5)當分母是2或4時，可以用 half 和 quarter 代替
a half
二分之一
a quarter
四分之一
注意：
1/3的學生
應譯為 one third of the students，而不能譯為 one third students
