Malaysia just determined that Sarawak will become its “City of Charm” for the 15th CAEXPO, and the Malaysian government will strongly support the occasion, according to a recent letter from the Malaysia Consulate General in Nanning to the CAEXPO Secretariat.
To date, ten “Cities of Charm” have been determined: Beihai of China, Bandar Seri Begawan of Brunei, Kampong Thom Province of Cambodia, Sumatera Barat of Indonesia, Vientiane of Laos, Sarawak of Malaysia, Hpa-An of Myanmar, Tarlac province of the Philippines, Singapore and Tinh Ben Tre of Vietnam.
The previous 14 CAEXPOs have hosted a total of 114 "Cities of Charm" of China and ASEAN. This year’s CAEXPO, to be held on Sept 12-15, will feature a "Cities of Charm" pavilion to display China and 10 ASEAN countries’ economy, culture, education, science and technology, tourism cooperation and social development.
