人生的七个阶段
All the world' sastage
世界就是一个舞台
And all the men and women merely players
所有的男男女女不过是一些演员
They have their exits and their entrances.
他们都有上场和下场的时候
And one man in his time plays many parts
一个人的一生扮演着好几个角色
His acts being seven ages
他的表演可以分为七幕：
At first the infant
第一幕演的是婴儿
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms
在奶妈怀里咿咿呀呀，吃吃吐吐。
Then the whining school-boy
第二幕是学童，去上学时愁眉苦脸
And shining morning face, creeping like snail,Unwillingly to school
走起路来慢得像蜗牛在爬行，放学时却满脸笑容，拿起书包就跑。
And then the lover
第三幕是情人
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad,Made to his mistress' eyebrow.
唉声叹气像火炉上的开水壶，写一首自作多情的恋歌，赞美恋人的眉毛如一弯新月。
Then a soldier
第四幕是当兵
Full of strange oaths，and bearded like the pard
满口赌咒发誓，满胡子犹如豹皮。
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel
争功夺赏，吵嘴打架
Seeking the bubble reputation，Even in the cannon's mouth
在炮火中寻找水上的浮名。
And then the justice
第五幕是做官
In fair round belly with good capon lin'd
圆圆的肚皮里面塞满了肥鸡瘦肉，肚子胀得像个鸡蛋
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut
眼睛尖得像针，胡子硬得像刺
Full of wise saws and modern instances
说起话来引经据典，举起例来博古通今
And so he plays his part
就这样演出了一个当官的红人。
The sixth age shifts
第六幕变成了一个瘦老头
Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon
穿着拖鞋和邋遢的长裤
With spectacleson nose and pouch on side
鼻子上架着眼镜，腰间挂着钱包
His youthful hose, well sav'd, a world too wide，For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice.
燕尾服紧束的裤腿在瘦削的大腿上却显得宽松
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes，And whistles in his sound.
洪亮的声音又恢复了儿童时代的尖嗓子，听起来像哨音或笛声。
Last scene of all
最后一幕
That ends this strange eventful history
结束了这丰富多彩的人生经历
Is second childishness and mere oblivion
再现了第二个儿童时代，出现了遗忘的岁月：
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
有眼无珠，有口无牙，有舌无味，一个一塌糊涂的晚年。
