新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情发生以来，吉林省委省政府高度重视，积极行动，于2020年1月25日启动了突发公共卫生事件一级应急响应，各项防疫工作高效有序推进。辽源市在同一时间启动一级应急响应，全面扎实做好疫情防控各项工作，目前无确诊病例和疑似病例。在此，我们向在辽外籍人士提出如下倡议：
The CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Jilin Province attach great importance to the prevention and control on the outbreak of novel coronavirus-infected pneumonia in the province. And the first-level public health emergency response has been initiated on January 25, 2020. Liaoyuan city started the first-level emergency response at the same time and did a solid job in epidemic prevention and control, with no confirmed or suspected cases. Hereby, we recommend the following practices to all foreign friends in Liaoyuan:
一、加强自我防护，尽量减少外出，避免到人员密集的场所，减少聚会聚餐等集体活动。外出请正确佩戴口罩，首选医用外科口罩。废弃口罩按规定规范投放。保持良好的卫生习惯，注意手口卫生。避免接触任何野生动物或禽类动物，肉类和蛋类请彻底煮熟后食用。
I. Please make adequate protection with fewer outdoor activities, avoid crowded places, and reduce gatherings, parties and other group activities. Please wear masks (medical surgical mask recommended) correctly when going out. Discarded masks should be placed according to regulations. Maintain good hygiene habits and pay attention to hand and mouth hygiene. Cook meat and eggs thoroughly and avoid direct contact with any wild animals and birds.

三、如您近期曾到访过疫情高发地区，或接触过疫情高发地区的来辽人员，请密切关注自身身体状况，并尽快向所在单位或所在地社区工作人员报告。如有社区工作人员或医务人员询问您的情况，请您积极配合他们的工作。
III. If you have travelled to the high-risk areas or have been in contact with people who come from high-risk areas recently, please pay close attention to your health, and report to your employer or local community staff as soon as possible. Please cooperate with the community staff or medical staff for health information inquiries and collection.
